It had not rained over Li Nan Courtyard.

A wave two men tall crashed in, slammed onto the ground amid everyone's screams, and disappeared, leaving behind a Dragon Turtle and a little girl ecstatic beyond measure.

Li Nan Courtyard instantly erupted.

"It's a Dragon Turtle!"

"It really is a divine beast!"

"Look, I told you I'd seen a divine beast before!"

Cries of astonishment rose one after another.

No matter how widespread the rumors were, seeing it with one's own eyes was different. Especially with Su He's ink-black dragon head, majestic even without anger, striking straight at the heart.

The Green Snake coiled atop a meditation cushion, her tail tip trembling rapidly as her snake tongue flicked out with a soft hiss. She gave a proud snort. "So what if he's a Dragon Turtle? I've beaten him before!"

Though she had never actually won. Even when she coiled around him, she had not been able to tighten her grip.

Hiss! The Green Snake's words immediately drew a wave of gasps. Everyone looked at her in astonished disbelief. This Green Snake, usually so gentle and seductive, was this fierce when enraged? No wonder there were sayings like "a serpent's heart and a scorpion's guts" and "a green bamboo snake's mouth."

The disciples around the Green Snake silently shifted farther away from her.

"No noise!" The crack of a ruler came from the lectern. Today's instructor was Ge Feng from Beast Taming Valley, someone they were familiar with.

Ge Feng's eyes carried a smile as he gave Su He a slight nod, then looked towards Feng Ya Ya. "You're late."

Feng Ya Ya lowered her head, her two index fingers fighting each other.

"Let us continue today's lesson." Ge Feng set down the ruler and raised his voice a few notches.
