The match against Slytherin was about to begin.
Before going onto the pitch, Harry felt a little nervous.
He had trained for almost half a year, all for today. His teammates and Professor McGonagall had high hopes for him, and that put no small amount of pressure on him.
Ron Weasley encouraged him from the side. "It's all right. You don't have to do too well. Charlie Weasley didn't catch the Golden Snitch his first time out either, and he almost got his arm broken by a Bludger."
"Oh, shut up, you're making him even more nervous," Hermione Granger said.
Since today's match was not against Ravenclaw, of course she had come to support her friend.
Just then, Wood suddenly walked over and placed a gold coin in Harry's hand. "Do you know the Permanent Sticking Charm?"

Harry was stunned. "Is this a Goblin coin?"
"Yes. Everyone on the team has one. I saved my allowance for ages to get this, and I was planning to trade it for a broom, so don't lose it." As Wood spoke, he leaned closer. "Using it to give you tactics during the match is much better than hand signals."
"But... isn't this chea—" Harry had just been about to say cheating when Wood covered his mouth. "Slytherin is using them too. If we don't, we'll be at a disadvantage! And the rules don't say you can't bring gold coins onto the pitch."
Harry was convinced, and let Wood use the Permanent Sticking Charm to stick the coin behind his ear. Unless someone got very close, it was impossible
