A cannon-like roar rang through the underground space.
Driven by gunpowder, the titanium-tungsten alloy bullet had an initial velocity of Mach 3, then was accelerated layer after layer by the "Projection" enchantment, like an electromagnetic rail. By the time it left the nearly three-meter barrel, its speed had already reached a terrifying Mach 15.
And so, before the roar could even thunder out, the bullet traveling at fifteen times the speed of sound had already struck its target.
With its tremendous mass, the titanium-tungsten alloy, and the extreme hardness granted by the "Toughness" enchantment, this bullet had more than enough power to punch through the frontal armor of a main battle tank.
Under such a violent kinetic impact, the black-robed priest's defenses were breached without the slightest suspense. In the next instant, half his body was shredded by the cavity effect and blasted into a pulp, while the bullet's extreme penetration merely forced him back two steps.
But the black-robed priest was still not dead. He dropped to his knees and raised that wooden face. "Abnormal... one, I have seen your death..."

Murphy stepped forward, grabbed the pendant-like object hanging at the black-robed priest's chest, and tore it off.
Sure enough, it was a tiny Statue of Our Lady pendant, and in the time it took him to look at it, the image on it gradually faded away until it vanished.
"Charlatan." Murphy crushed the pendant and turned back, ready to finish off the remaining priests, but they all collapsed on their own as if their souls had been pulled out, every one of them losing their breath.
