A Millennium Reward
Not long afterward, another underground level was excavated beneath Western Mansion. Once the Magic Chip Project Team moved in, the entire space would be placed under a hundredfold time acceleration.
This newly established research institute was called the "Future Research Institute," while all the researchers stationed there were known as "pioneers," because in a sense, they had all crossed through time to travel into the future.
Several days later, all the pioneers underwent vampire transformation. Although the improved vampire serum had not yet been developed, they would be underground and never see sunlight, so there was no need to worry about their days and nights being reversed. The powerful recovery, enhanced senses, and other minor abilities granted by vampirization were still more cost-effective than the alternative method involving the Elixir of Life.
"Time acceleration can be stopped at any time." After sending the pioneers into the underground space, Murphy reminded them, "Your research progress and materials can be transmitted through the network at any time, and all kinds of supplies can be sent in whenever needed. If you need to stop the time-accelerated state at any point, you may submit a request."
"Research into memristors has only just begun. We may need around ten years to develop advanced chips of commercial grade," Denzel Evans said. "Everyone has come prepared. We will not leave this place until we have created outstanding chips. But in the outside world, it will be less than two months. Wait for our good news."
With that, Denzel closed the doors of the Future Research Institute and said to Murphy outside, "Then, see you in two months."
Murphy nodded solemnly. "Thank you for your efforts, everyone. See you in ten years."
In September, the Magic Chip Future Research Institute officially entered a hundredfold
