This volume was pretty tough to write.
I had the outline a long time ago, but I was a bit indecisive about how to handle Serika, so the writing didn't go smoothly.
Originally, Serika wasn't meant to be a romance character. She was purely there to give everyone some fan service. You could probably tell from the moment she appeared that she was a fan-service girl. Later, I realized that fan service was also very easy to get harmonized, so I wrote it, revised it, deleted it, and it all became awkward in every possible way.
That's also one of the reasons this volume is so short.
In short, I've learned my lesson. I won't mess around with weird stuff in the future. I'll just honestly let the protagonist accumulate technology.
Also, people keep saying the protagonist is weak. Mm... compared with most characters who start out by entering school, the protagonist really is pretty weak. By the time those people graduate, they'll probably be close to becoming gods.
But what I wanted to write from the start was a story leaning more toward adults, so I didn't begin at the school, and the combat strength I set for the protagonist was just at the level of an ordinary Auror.
To be honest, if we transmigrated into Harry's world, we might not even be able to beat an Auror.
However, from the fact that I designed the Transfiguration Pathway and the Spellcasting Path for him earlier, you should be able to tell that the protagonist is still going to level up.
After all the accumulation from before, he has actually gathered most of the cards he needs to become stronger.
The next volume will be the one where the protagonist's strength takes off.
Please look forward to it.
