It was a simple bar chart. The horizontal axis was divided into: Creation, Protection, Mind, Transformation, Evocation, and Manipulation. The vertical axis was a scale from 0 to 70.
The chart also marked Murphy's, Alex's, and Serika's values. Murphy's bars were solid black, Alex's were hollow white, and Serika's were hatched.
Murphy glanced at his own. "Creation 27, Protection 42, Mind 58, Transformation 35, Evocation 30, Manipulation 26."
Then he looked at Serika's. "Creation 37, Protection 10, Mind 34, Transformation 29, Evocation 10, Manipulation 21."
Last was Alex. "Creation 10, Protection 18, Mind 10, Transformation 10, Evocation 27, Manipulation 10."
"Are these values proportional?" Murphy asked.
"Yes," Hordan said. "For example, your Mind-type magical power value is 58. That means that, under the same conditions, the power of this type of magic when used by you is 5.8 times stronger than Teacher Alex's."
In other words, his magical power really was stronger than Serika's and Alex's, and by a lot in every dimension.
That put Murphy in a much better mood.
He had always felt that his talent in magic was fairly ordinary, so he had worked extremely hard while he was at school. But in reality, maybe he did have a tiny bit of talent after all?
