Peter released Flash's neck and grabbed his shoulder instead, lifting him even higher. "Say your choice out loud! If I'm not satisfied, I'll tear your throat apart!"
Having nothing left to lose, Flash shouted at the top of his lungs, "Don't kill me! Let Liz die! This bitch never liked me in the first place—she only liked my status! I'm not dying for her!"
"Mmph... cough! Cough, cough!"
The tail was pulled from Liz's mouth as well. After coughing violently a few times, she immediately cursed, "Flash, you bastard! You selfish asshole! Why won't you die for me?!"
The two turned against each other, exposing the ugliest side of human nature for all to see. Some people who had long disliked them even began cursing at them.
Those screaming girls were the loudest of all, as if Flash and Liz had committed some unforgivable moral atrocity.
Seeing his humiliation plan progressing perfectly, Peter grew more and more excited. He stuffed Liz's mouth shut again, then flung Flash onto the ground.
"Very good. You did well! Now, Flash, get on the ground and bark like a dog!"
"What?!"
Flash could hardly believe it and tried to get up. "I already did what you said! How can you—?!"
Peter stepped on his back, pressing him tightly against the grass. "You don't have a choice. This is an order!"
Smack!
A figure dropped down from the roof of the school building.
A white-and-black suit, indigo ballet shoes, and purple-pink lining inside the hood.
One palm braced against the ground.
Her right knee was bent, one long, slender leg stretched out.
A standard Spider-Man landing pose.
It was Gwen.
"The Lizard Man showed up at school?"
Gwen stood up. From this high vantage point, her exceptional vision swept across the entire campus, and she quickly spotted something wrong on the football field.
"Over there!"
Her webline stuck to the rooftop, and her agile, graceful figure swung rapidly toward it—
Whoosh—
Whoosh—
After firing several web shots in succession, Ghost-Spider appeared above the football field.
The scene below surprised Gwen greatly.
"Woof woof woof!"
Flash Thompson, who had always bullied Peter, was lying on the ground like a dog, barking furiously around the Lizard Man.
What was he doing? Did he think lizards were afraid of dogs?
Li said reading more books was important. Apparently, he was right...
Then—
Gwen saw Liz, wrapped up in the Lizard Man's tail. The thick tip of that tail had been shoved all the way into Liz's throat.

Gwen recalled how it had felt when she and Ye Li had "played." Her hand unconsciously touched her slender neck, and she felt like she could empathize...
That had to be really uncomfortable.
But when she and Li... it had been pretty exciting~
Liz was probably feeling nothing but pain.
"It's Ghost-Spider!"
While Gwen was still indulging in dirty thoughts and savoring the memory, the people below noticed her swinging over and were overjoyed!
"Spider-Man is here! We're saved!"
"Long live Ghost-Spider!"
"Take down that Lizard Man!"
"Spider-Man?" Neither Peter nor Gwen recognized the other. Peter was wary of Ghost-Spider too and had no desire to fight her here.
So Peter tossed Liz from his tail back to Flash, leaving behind only one sentence: "Flash, look at yourself now. Who's the insignificant one?"
"Woof, woof... you!"
Flash stopped barking, his pupils shrinking. "You're Pete—ah!"
Before he could finish, Peter knocked him unconscious with a swipe of his tail.
Peter would not kill Flash. He wanted Flash to experience what it felt like to be mocked and toyed with!
After doing all that, Peter saw Ghost-Spider had already landed on the ground and immediately left the football field.
"He ran?"
The moment Gwen stepped onto the grass, she saw the Lizard Man crawling away rapidly on all fours in a bizarre posture.
She went over to check on Flash and Liz.
Their chests were still rising and falling.
They did not appear to have suffered any external injuries.
She let out a sigh of relief. "Forget it. As long as there are no casualties, that's fine. I'll notify Dad to come deal with this."
"Spider-Man! Ghost-Spider!"
Cheers erupted from the football field!
"Spider-Man is amazing! The Lizard Man ran away the moment she showed up!"
"Ghost-Spider, can I have your autograph?!"
"Wow, you dealt with it so quickly." Jessica, who had arrived late, dropped into the football field.
She could now jump up and float in the air for a little while.
