Hearing the warning, Jessica first held the little rod horizontally before pressing one of its switches.

A blue glow shot out from one end of the rod, plasma extending over a meter as it emitted a faint magnetic hum.

Jessica tucked the Knuckle Dusters back into the strap on her thigh, then raised the glowing blade and slashed down at Connors's launcher.
With no resistance at all, as if cutting tofu, the launcher was instantly sliced in half, crackling with sparks.
"Cool, it really is a lightsaber!"
After her excitement subsided, Jessica asked Gwen Stacy curiously, "Huh? Where did Li get something like this?"

Max was in a very foul mood.
Ever since Cindy had saved him last time, he had found hope to keep living, and he had become obsessed with that girl.
Max had thought Cindy was a superhero like Ghost-Spider.
He became Cindy's fan and began frantically searching the Internet for information about her.
But after searching online, he discovered that aside from the time she had saved him, there were no news reports related to Cindy.
Max refused to accept it.
After thinking about her day and night, that girl had become his only reason to live.
In his twisted state, he began bragging online that the girl who had saved him was the real superhero.
Compared to her, Ghost-Spider was nothing.

Simply put, Max had gone on a bloodthirsty rampage.

Someone had just gotten into a car to flee when Max casually struck them dead with a blast of powerful current.
A deep sense of despair blanketed the entire street.
"Superheroes?
Let me see who's calling for me."

A red-and-gold suit of armor crashed down before Max.
Tony Stark, Iron Man, had arrived.
Tony aimed his Repulsor Ray at Max, energy building up. "Little glowstick, it's time for you to go to prison."
Crackle—!
Max raised a hand and blasted him away with a thick bolt of blue lightning. "A superhero? You're nothing special."
Sir, the armor's power has reached full capacity, with some overflow detected. Please discharge the excess energy as soon as possible.
"Jarvis, did you say it's full?"
Tony stared at the tiny sparks occasionally popping from his armor, utterly bewildered.
Was it really that powerful?
Yes, sir. Please discharge it as soon as possible.
"Fine."
A thick beam shot from Tony's chest toward Max. "Try this, then!"
"Useless! I'm invincible!"
Max got careless and did not dodge.
Then Tony's massive beam blasted him away, sending him crashing back into Osborn Tower.
Only then did he realize—while he was immune to physical attacks like bullets, he was not without weaknesses.
He could not ignore energy attacks!
In the span of a few breaths.
The lights on every illuminated floor of Osborn Tower suddenly went out, one after another!
Having gathered even more electricity, Max charged out. "Bastard—!"
He was bluer, and stronger!
Streams of electricity lashed out from Max's body, winding toward Tony. This time, he intended to change tactics.
Instead of attacking directly, he would try to dismantle that turtle shell.
Because he had discovered that he could control electrical devices!
Electricity surged in from every direction.
Even though Tony's Iron Man Armor was fast, it could not evade in time. The currents burrowed into the suit.
Max and Tony were connected by electricity. Max was invading, taking control!

"Jarvis!"
Tony shouted anxiously. He could feel the armor slipping further and further from his control.
