Flash Thompson kept kicking his thick legs as two burly men in suits each grabbed one of his arms and dragged him out.
His lackeys met the same fate.
"Alright, don't waste time here."
Ye Li adjusted the poster scroll in his hand, a mysterious smile appearing on his face. "I still have a surprise for Gwen."
Harry's expression eased as well. He glanced at the poster and asked, "Is this your latest masterpiece, teacher? Is it for Gwen?"
"More or less."
Ye Li asked, "Where's Gwen?"
Knowing Gwen's personality, she wouldn't just stand by and watch Peter get bullied here.
"Jessica was pestering Gwen earlier. She dragged her into a room on the second floor, though I have no idea what they're doing."
Harry was also explaining this to Peter, hoping he wouldn't overthink things.
"Alright, I'll go find them. You take Peter inside first."
Ye Li also greeted Peter. "Peter, have fun. Don't think too much."
"Mm..." Peter answered, though no one knew what he was thinking.
Ye Li didn't say anything more.
Peter was a grown boy, not some girl. There was nothing much to comfort him over.
He could let Peter's best buddy Harry soothe his young, fragile heart.

he leisurely made his way to the second floor.
A sweep of his Spider-Sense told him exactly which room Gwen and the others were in.

Gwen, pinned beneath Jessica, trembled. That feeling had come again.
"What's wrong, Gwen?"
Jessica's hands paused as she asked worriedly, "Did I hurt you?"
She thought she hadn't controlled her strength and had injured Gwen.
"No, Jessica."
Gwen touched her chest in confusion. "It's that heart-pounding feeling from a few days ago, but it isn't as strong this time. It feels a little like... someone plucked at my heartstrings."
