Spirit City, Central Plaza.
After Dr. Ratio and the others left, Yan took the Soul Tool Handgun and led a group of soul master students out of the classroom.
They were all young, and having gotten their hands on something novel, they naturally wanted to show it off.
Some of the students sensed that something was wrong and hurried home to tell their families what had happened in class.
But without exception, nearly every student had memorized the formula on the Blackboard!
They all knew that if the formula was real, it would be an epoch-making theory!
Now, Yan and Xie Yue arrived at the plaza together.
Yan climbed onto a raised platform, looked at the pedestrians below, and shouted, "Hey! Hey! All eyes on me!"
Xie Yue stood beside Yan. Seeing him act like that, his face darkened, and he hurried off the platform.
He had no desire to embarrass himself alongside Yan!
Below, the pedestrians heard Yan's voice and all looked over curiously.
Yan had two students carry over a large wooden board, upon which Dr. Ratio's formula had been completely copied.
Under everyone's curious gazes.
A smile spread across Yan's face as he shouted, "You all know, right?! Spirit Hall has produced another Grandmaster, Dr. Ratio! Just now, he developed a formula!"
"They say that with this formula, you can tell whether a child under six can awaken a Spirit, and what kind of Spirit they'll awaken!"
"Now, as the Grandmaster's die-hard fan, I'm going to reveal it so all of you can benefit!"
"Is anyone willing to come up and give it a try?!"
Yan shouted as he laughed.
He had already been annoyed with Dr. Ratio, and now he had finally found a way to "get back" at him.
If the formula was fake, exposing it now would make Dr. Ratio utterly humiliated!
Then let's see if Dr. Ratio still dared look at him like he was an idiot!
If the formula was real, he could even claim some credit with him!
The crowd below looked at one another, and for a while, no one stepped forward.
Those settled in Spirit City, even if they were not soul masters, knew quite a lot about them.
To them, what Yan said sounded like pure fantasy.
Soon, someone began voicing opposition.
"What kind of bullshit Grandmaster is this?! I've never even heard of such a formula! How does Spirit Hall keep producing these attention-seeking Grandmasters?"
"If this formula could be applied, wouldn't that mean we could influence a child's Bloodline Inheritance Spirit?"
"I've never heard anything this absurd! These days, people will do anything just to become famous!"
"..."
The crowd burst into laughter. Almost none of them believed in this theoretical formula.
Yet within the crowd, two people showed looks of surprise, though they did not mock it like everyone else.
One was an elegant middle-aged man. He murmured in surprise, "The newly appointed Grandmaster, Dr. Ratio? I heard that he gained the recognition of every scholar in the Pope's Palace and was publicly acknowledged as a Grandmaster."
"I had wanted to consult and exchange ideas with him, but I never expected to encounter something like this."
"Uncle Sword, how credible do you think this formula is?"
This man was Ning Fengzhi, sect master of the Seven Treasure Glazed Tile Sect. The white-haired man beside him, sharp as an unsheathed sword, was Sword Douluo!
Sword Douluo frowned slightly at this and shook his head.
"I can't tell. But since Spirit Hall recognized him as a Grandmaster, he must not be ordinary... Still, this formula truly is rather inconceivable."
Ning Fengzhi nodded slightly. He felt the same way.
It was not that he did not believe it, but this formula was simply too shocking!
At that moment, a fat man holding a child suddenly stepped forward.
"Me, me, me! Let me try! My child is already six and still hasn't awakened a Spirit! Can you test us?"
The fat father carried a little girl onto the platform.
Everyone else was drawn in as well.
They could curse all they wanted, but they still wanted to watch this spectacle unfold!
The fat father hurried onto the stage and placed the little girl from his arms in front of Yan.
"My Spirit is the Gray Wolf Spirit, and my wife's is a frying pan..." The fat father began explaining his circumstances.
Yan quickly waved Xie Yue over and had him test their blood information and so on.
Xie Yue took the various measuring tools Dr. Ratio had made, walked up to the fat father, and began testing them.
Everyone watched intently, curious and expectant.
Even those who had insulted them earlier fell silent, staring at Xie Yue's work.
Xie Yue truly was a fine student of Dr. Ratio's. He quickly gathered the data and compared it against the formula.
Under the eyes of the crowd, he arrived at the Spirit and its probability.
Xie Yue said, "According to the formula, your daughter's Spirit... has an eighty-seven percent chance of inheriting your Gray Wolf Spirit! Her Innate Soul Power should be around level 4.6!"
"Because of measurement error, I can't provide more detailed data."
Xie Yue's voice carried across the plaza.
The entire plaza fell silent because Xie Yue sounded far too serious.
The fat father slapped his thigh and laughed loudly. "My Innate Soul Power was only level three, and her mother's was level two! If it really is level four... What's with the point six? That'd be wonderful!"
The fat father beamed with joy.
Xie Yue wiped away his sweat, smiling as well.
Even merely comparing the numbers against the formula had exhausted him.
Yet Dr. Ratio had derived this formula from nothing. Just how massive had that calculation been?
Xie Yue admired Dr. Ratio even more.
"Can anyone come up and awaken her Spirit? Let's witness it right here!"
Yan waved his hand, egging someone on to come forward.
"Eighty-seven percent? He makes it sound so convincing, but he didn't give an absolutely accurate number. When it turns out wrong, he'll definitely blame it on probability!"
"Could it be that she's already awakened her Spirit? Did they come here on purpose to mess with us?"
"I'll do it! I happen to have a Spirit Stone!"
"..."
A soul master raised his hand. Holding a deep-blue stone, he hurried out and climbed onto the platform as well.
Seeing someone go up, Ning Fengzhi stopped walking.
The formula had piqued his interest as well.
Sword Douluo, meanwhile, frowned deeply as he began trying to understand the formula's meaning.
However, since Xie Yue had not explained it, he did not know the meaning of many of its letters and symbols, and naturally could not derive anything from it.
The little girl held the Spirit Stone in her hand. The soul master who had come out to awaken her Spirit placed one hand on the Spirit Stone and the other on the little girl's head.
Blue soul power radiated from his body, and the Spirit Stone lit up as well, like a flawless blue crystal.
Everyone's eyes were fixed on the little girl.
A faint glow began to spread from the little girl's hands, traveling up her arms and across her body.
This was what it looked like when a Spirit awakened for the first time!
Under the gaze of more than ten thousand people, two gray upright ears suddenly sprouted from either side of the girl's head!
Wolf ears!!!
