Ji Qinglan was a third-year student at Hangcheng Academy of Fine Arts when she had already founded and built a reputation for Qinglan Design Company. Her studio, known as the “Thatched Cottage,” combines modern minimalist design with Jiangnan water-town décor. As its chief designer, she personally handled premium projects and charged a separate personal design fee. 20
