"First-year Ravenclaws, follow me!"
Prefects, both male and female, called out at the entrance to the Great Hall.
A tall boy with black-rimmed glasses, who looked very capable, and a girl with short hair walked at the front, leading the tired but excited first-years through Hogwarts' intricate corridors.
The female prefect patiently reminded the new students, "Be careful of the stairs; they like to change direction. Especially on Friday nights, they get particularly... individualistic."
The male prefect added as he led the way, "Our House Founder, Rowena Ravenclaw, believed that a thirst for knowledge is the most precious treasure. So, our common room is in the west tower of the castle, offering a broad view and conducive to thinking."
They climbed a spiral staircase that seemed to stretch endlessly upward.
Lucretia noticed that with every turn, the color of the torches began to change, gradually transitioning from a warm orange to a cool blue.
Although Helena was also a bit breathless, she said with a serious expression, "The higher the tower, the closer the mind gets to the starry sky. Hogwarts: A History states that Ravenclaw Tower is the tallest of the four houses."
"Ha, I think Rowena Ravenclaw wanted to make sure her students didn't all become bookworms. At least they'd get some exercise, otherwise, they wouldn't even be able to carry their books," a boy's remark drew a ripple of laughter from the students around him.
Finally, they reached the top of the tower.
Before them was a door with no handle or keyhole, only a Bronze Eagle Door Knocker.
The female prefect explained again, "Ravenclaw's entrance is special. You don't need to remember a password; you just need to answer a riddle."
She turned to the door knocker, and the eagle's mouth immediately came to life, asking in a pleasant but slightly mysterious voice, "What becomes more useful when it's broken?"
The first-years looked at each other, discussing in hushed, nervous tones.
Lucretia was also thinking; it seemed like a pun.
The male prefect cast an encouraging look at the first-year students. "Does anyone want to try answering?"
Sophia raised her hand and said calmly, "An egg."
The eagle door knocker nodded. "Clear thinking, logical consistency."
The door silently swung inward, revealing the Ravenclaw common room.
The female prefect patted Sophia's shoulder. "Very good, Vera. That was a relatively simple riddle. Sometimes they're harder. If you don't know the answer, please wait patiently for another Ravenclaw to help. Don't worry, we won't leave you locked out all night like the Gryffindors."
The male prefect added with a smile, causing a nervous laugh, "At least, not most of the time."
As they stepped into the common room, all their fatigue vanished at the sight before them.
It was a spacious, circular room with a high, vaulted ceiling adorned with an intricate Star Chart, the stars on which twinkled with a faint light as if they were real.
Blue and bronze silk tapestries decorated the stone walls, and large windows overlooked the Hogwarts grounds and the Black Lake illuminated by moonlight.
In the center of the room stood a marble statue of the Goddess of Wisdom, who looked down upon the students with a transcendent smile.

Around the statue were arranged soft blue sofas and armchairs. Beside each seat was a brass oil lamp, its light dim but sufficient for students to read by.
Emma's eyes widened. "Wow! This is too beautiful! It was worth begging the Sorting Hat dozens of times to be sorted into the same house as Mother."
Lucretia completely agreed, nodding along.
The common room exuded a serene beauty, with the starry sky outside the window seemingly within reach.
The male prefect pointed upwards. "Look at the ceiling. It not only displays the current constellations but also shows different astronomical knowledge based on each person's interests."
Lucretia looked up at Orion on the ceiling.
A line of elegant silver text soon appeared next to the constellation, describing its history and mythology.
As she shifted her attention to another constellation, the text changed accordingly.
The female prefect pointed to the other side, drawing the attention of the new students.
"The bookshelves along the wall will automatically adjust the placement of books based on your learning needs. For example, if you're looking for reference materials for Charms class, as soon as you think of it, the books in that section will appear in the most accessible place for you. However, the library's collection is much more extensive, so don't rely solely on the resources here."
The male prefect smiled as he watched the new students' rapt expressions, his tone carrying a hint of pride. "Ravenclaw House values individual uniqueness and creativity. Our house has produced many outstanding inventors and thinkers throughout history. The Headmaster is Professor Flitwick, who is also your Charms professor. Although he is small in stature, his magical attainments are profound. He often encourages students to voice their own ideas, so don't be afraid to speak up in class."
The female prefect nodded and added, "Oh, and every Wednesday evening, the common room hosts a Knowledge Round Table. Anyone can join the discussion, share their thoughts, or ask about anything they don't understand academically. The older students will be there to help you. Alright, the girls' dormitory is up the stairs on the left, and the boys' is on the right. Your luggage has already been sent to your rooms. Girls, follow me. Boys, follow Campbell."
Lucretia and the other girls climbed another spiral staircase, arriving at the dormitory located on the upper level of the tower.
The female prefect guided them to the correct room, where a bronze plaque for first-years hung on the door.
"I'll be back shortly to distribute Professor Flitwick's organized class schedule. Don't go to bed too early. If you have any questions, you can ask me or the other prefect. For now, please unpack your luggage."
The dormitory door opened, revealing a circular room with four four-poster beds, draped in dark blue curtains, arranged in a circle.
On the wall between the windows hung the Ravenclaw Banner. The windows themselves were tall and wide, with arc-shaped sills fitted with cushions, forming a natural reading nook.
"This is perfect!"
Helena immediately walked towards one of the beds, where her luggage was already placed.
Emma rushed to another bed, her trunk already open, with several bags of sweets scattered on it.
"Look, all our things are here! Hey, my sweets are all fine!"
Sophia quietly walked to a bed by the window, gently stroking the blue bed curtains with a faint smile on her lips.
Lucretia found that her bed was near another window, and Luna's cage had already been placed in the corner of the dormitory.
The white cat was curled up comfortably on a blue cushion. She opened one eye to look at Lucretia, let out a meow, and then went back to napping.
Emma saw this, dropped the Chocolate Frog she was holding, and walked over. She reached out to pet Luna but hesitated, "Your cat is so beautiful! Can I pet her? I mean, she won't scratch, right?"
