Return to the Academy, the Shock of Innate Full Soul Power

After Bai Ge demonstrated his Spirit Skill, the three of them ate some dry rations where they were, then prepared to leave the Soul Hunting Forest.

Three days had passed since they set out from Nuoding Academy. Now that both Bai Ge and Tang San had obtained the Spirit Rings they wanted, it was naturally time to return.

Since they had ventured deep into the Soul Hunting Forest, even traveling in a straight line out of it took the three of them half a day before they finally reached the entrance through which they had entered.

After leaving through the entrance, Grandmaster hired another carriage at the market, and the three of them rode it back to Nuoding Academy.

After traveling for an entire day, they finally arrived at their destination—Nuoding Academy—on the morning of the second day.

They got out of the carriage at Nuoding Academy's entrance, and Grandmaster led Bai Ge and Tang San through the academy's Main Gate.

It was still early morning, and most of Nuoding Academy's teachers and students had only just gotten up.

Since Bai Ge and Tang San had rested the night in the carriage, neither wanted to catch up on sleep. Instead, they planned to have breakfast with Grandmaster in the Cafeteria before returning to the Seventh Dormitory.

They were returning to the Seventh Dormitory because, after the official start of term, Nuoding Academy did not allow students to wear casual clothes on campus. They had to change into Nuoding Academy's School Uniform.

When Bai Ge and Tang San returned to the Seventh Dormitory, everyone there had only just gotten up.

"Hey, Tang San, Bai Ge, you're back."

Seeing Bai Ge and Tang San return, Wang Sheng, who was getting out of bed, greeted them while yawning.

"So, did you get your Spirit Rings?"

"We did."

Bai Ge nodded.

"Wang Sheng, where's Xiao Wu? Why isn't she here?"

After getting dressed, Tang San realized that Xiao Wu's bed was empty and asked curiously.

"Isn't Xiao Wu responsible for the garden south of the Playground? You were supposed to clean it together, but since you went to hunt Spirit Rings, she had to clean it alone. To finish it, she had to get up even earlier."

Wang Sheng answered.

"I see. She's really had it hard."

Hearing Wang Sheng's words, Tang San could not help sighing.

"Oh, come on, Tang San. Xiao Wu's only doing it for these few days. After that, we'll be responsible for the cleaning. You already feel sorry for her after just a few days?"

Bai Ge found Tang San's sigh rather amusing.

Since Xiao Wu had already left, the two of them could only head to Class One on the first floor of the teaching building, where the first-year students attended class.

By the time Bai Ge and Tang San reached Class One's classroom, the Main Gate was already open. Pushing it open, Bai Ge immediately spotted Xiao Wu sitting in the Back Row, eating something.

"Xiao Wu!"

At the sight of Xiao Wu, Tang San immediately greeted her with a smile.

"Wow, you two are finally back!"

Hearing the familiar voice, Xiao Wu looked up and immediately saw Tang San and Bai Ge. She could not help saying excitedly.

"Xiao Wu, what are you eating?"

Walking into the classroom, Bai Ge caught the faint scent of carrots in the air and asked oddly.

"Carrot buns. Want some?"

Xiao Wu lifted the bun in her hand and waved it in front of Bai Ge and Tang San as she answered with a giggle.

"No, thanks. We already had breakfast."

Tang San shook his head.

"Xiao Wu, we haven't been here these past few days. Can you tell us what class has been like?"

Looking at the neatly arranged desks and chairs in the classroom, Bai Ge noticed there was not a single book on them. Did Soul Masters learn purely through oral instruction and personal example? He could not help asking curiously.

"Class these past few days? It's been easy. The Teacher comes every day and teaches us how to meditate and cultivate Soul Power. That's all!"

Xiao Wu spread her hands.

"Fine."

Bai Ge was speechless. He should have known better than to expect anything from this backward world. The teaching was far too simple and crude.

It might have been fine for those who had never learned how to cultivate Soul Power, but for him, with the Jade Brightness Skill and Grandmaster as his Teacher, it was simply a waste of life.

"Oh, right. There don't seem to be assigned seats in the classroom. As long as you arrive early enough, you can sit wherever you want, so pick a spot you like."

After thinking about it, Xiao Wu added.

Tang San did not particularly care about Xiao Wu's words. To him, it made no difference where he sat, but Bai Ge was interested.

Since it was still early, aside from the Work-Study Students who had to rise early to clean the academy, the ordinary students had not yet arrived. Bai Ge easily chose a window seat in the Back Row.

"Teacher, my name is Tang San. I'm also from Sacred Soul Village, and I'm six years old as well."

Following Bai Ge, Tang San also stood and introduced himself.

"I read the leave slips the academy gave me. They said you took leave to go to the Soul Hunting Forest and hunt the Spirit Rings needed for Soul Scholars to advance to Soul Masters. Now that you're back, did you succeed?"

The male Teacher looked at Bai Ge and Tang San curiously.

"How is that possible?!"

Whether the male Teacher had intended it or not, his words threw the entire classroom into an uproar.

The first-year students had an average Soul Power of only one or two levels. How could someone possibly have already advanced to become a Soul Master?

"Don't be so surprised. Nothing is impossible. Bai Ge and Tang San are both among the rare few on the continent with Innate Full Soul Power, which is why they could advance to Soul Masters so quickly."

Seeing the Children in the classroom looking utterly disbelieving, the male Teacher could not help explaining.
