A swarm of crimson pincered ants marched in a long line, carrying grass seeds from who knew where as they slowly returned to their nest.
Liu Di instinctively stepped aside to let them pass.
He scratched his head slightly.

Just then, the ground trembled faintly as heavy impacts rang out one after another.
Liu Di immediately grew wary. He tightened his grip on his broadsword and stared intently at the bushes not far away.
Thump!
The sound drew closer and closer, as though something was about to charge ferociously out of the brush!
Liu Di slowly narrowed his eyes. "I knew this place couldn't be so simple. There really is a monster hiding here!"
Magic Child said, "Liu Di, I'm scared."
"It's fine. I'll cut it down!"
Liu Di gripped his broadsword and rushed at the shaking grass, bringing his blade down in a slash!
Thump!
Another loud boom rang out, but Liu Di's broadsword froze abruptly in midair!
At his feet was an adorable little creature.
This little animal looked like a basketball come to life. Its body was covered in gray feathers and perfectly round, with only a tiny black beak, two skinny little claws, and a pair of black bean-like eyes peeking out from its plumage. Its dark eyes rolled about as it stared at the enormous Liu Di.
"Hiss..."
The corner of Liu Di's eye twitched. "Isn't this a chick?"
The little thing's belly swelled like a balloon before suddenly contracting, releasing a thunderous thump, like a drumbeat.
Then it continued to look at Liu Di innocently.
Liu Di helplessly lowered his broadsword. "You're tiny, but you sure are loud!"
Magic Child grew interested. "A Dugee Chicken. An extinct animal. It makes sounds to scare off enemies.
