"Mm... okay. Then, Daddy, I'll come back to find you as soon as I'm done eating."
Leon nodded. "Okay."
He suddenly realized that Little Mu'en was a very sensible girl.
She was clearly still just a child, with a few willful thoughts and demands of her own.
But whenever someone spoke kindly and discussed things with her, she would immediately lower her expectations.
She seemed to dislike causing trouble for others.
Hmm—
That took after her father.
Leon thought smugly to himself.
The maids took Mu En away.
Leon carried his own food back to the room as well.
He did not sit at the table. Instead, he casually sat on the floor beside the bed, opened the lunchbox, and a rich fragrance wafted out.
They must have specifically studied human recipes.
Leon had heard before that dragons mainly ate the meat of all kinds of wild beasts and dangerous creatures, and vegetables were practically nowhere to be seen.
But his dinner had both meat and vegetables, and the combination was rather good.
Leon let out a breath, picked up his fork, and began eating dinner.
A moment later, the door opened.
Leon leaned out from beside the bed, thinking Mu En had returned.
But what he saw was a pair of silver high heels.
The smile on this old father's face instantly vanished.
He pulled his head back and continued picking at the unfinished food in his lunchbox.
Losweiser removed the silver crown from her head and casually set it aside.
Then she took off her necklace, earrings, and other jewelry one by one.
Out of the corner of her eye, she noticed Leon sitting on the floor with his back against the bed, eating. She paused slightly, but said nothing.
She moved over a chair and sat down in front of Leon. Then she crossed her long legs, leaned back against the chair, and looked down at him from above.
As she crossed her legs, one high heel teetered precariously on her delicate foot. It swayed twice before falling to the floor with a clatter.
Leon held his lunchbox and faced off with her for a while. In the end, he could not bear to finish the remaining food under Losweiser's disdainful, contemptuous gaze from above, so he simply set the lunchbox aside.
"What?" Leon asked.
"Is it good?"
"It's alright."
"I asked whether it's good. Answer good or not good. Don't tell me it's alright."
Fine.
This Dragon Queen's temper was like June weather—liable to change without warning.
Leon pressed his lips together. Not wanting to go too much against his conscience just to save face, he answered,
"It's good."
"Is the meat good?"
Leon frowned but did not answer.
Losweiser gave a mocking laugh. Propping one side of her face up with a hand, she tilted slightly and asked lazily,
"Do you know what kind of meat that was?"
Leon's heart trembled. As though he had realized something, a wave of nausea surged into his stomach.
Seeing his expression, Losweiser could not hide her amusement.
"It was beef. What, couldn't you tell?"
"Boring." Leon lowered his head, unwilling to look at her.
But how could Losweiser let him off so easily?
With her daughter absent, she had plenty of ways to torment Leon.
Losweiser slowly extended her foot and gently lifted Leon's chin with the top of it, forcing him to raise his head and look at her.
From this half-upward angle, Losweiser's queenly bearing was simply overwhelming.
Her languid gaze, teasing smile, and the faint weariness between her brows.
What a pity.
Leon could not appreciate it.
He hated having someone step on him—no matter how beautiful the foot or its owner might be.
"I suddenly remembered that aside from that one time this morning, the Dragon Mark didn't react at all for the rest of the day."
Losweiser spoke blandly. "So that one time, you did it on purpose, didn't you?"
Seeing this, Leon stopped being stubborn. "You know I did it on purpose, yet you're not angry?"
"Heh. Me getting angry alone won't be enough to teach you a lesson."
With that, Losweiser exerted a little force, pressing Leon against the bedside with her foot at his neck.
Then, her pale toes traced down from Leon's neck to his chest, then his abdomen, and continued lower—
Leon reached out and grasped her bonelessly slender ankle.
"What are you doing?"
"Not only am I going to get angry, I'm going to light a fire too. Take your hand away."
Leon clenched his teeth in secret and remained motionless.
Losweiser's voice turned sterner. Her tail, which had been casually draped behind her, rose slightly as well. "I told you to take your hand away, Leon."
A wise man did not fight when the odds were against him.
Leon slowly released his hand.
Losweiser continued downward.
Her purpose was exactly what Leon had thought.
He should have guessed what she intended the moment this Dragon Queen extended her foot.
If he had known it would turn out like this, why had he even eaten dinner?
He should have just taken a bite earlier.
He had eaten pig trotters, beef trotters, and lamb trotters before, but never dragon trotters.
But whatever kind of trotter it was, it was too late now.
Leon raised his arms and gripped the bedsheet behind him tightly.
He tilted his head back and stared at the ceiling, trying his best to ignore that strange and wonderful sensation.
But he simply could not.
Losweiser's delicate feet were warm and soft, and her toes were remarkably nimble.
And she herself seemed to enjoy this unconventional game as well.
"How many dragon corpses did you step on in the past to flaunt your glorious achievements?" the Queen asked with a smile.
Leon remained silent.
"Hmph. You surely never imagined that one day, you too would be stepped on by a dragon, did you?"
"So, how do you feel now?"
"Tell me, Leon. What do you feel?"
She applied a little more force.
Leon gave a muffled groan of pain, but still kept his mouth shut.
"Won't talk? Fine, then keep enduring it."
Leon unconsciously moved his hand.
But the instant his fingertips touched her, Losweiser flicked them away with her tail.
"Keep your hands still. Did I say you could touch me?"
Leon turned his head away and did not say a word.
About ten-odd minutes later (censored)
Losweiser gave a cold snort and lowered her eyes to look at her delicate feet.
"They're really dirty, Leon. See that? It's all because of you."
"How can you be so shameless? Shouldn't you chop off my feet and claim credit for it?"
"Why have you made them so dirty now, hmm?"
Leon hung his head. The weakness in his body and the humiliation to his dignity left him unwilling to respond to Losweiser.
"Don't think staying silent means this is over. Go bring a basin of hot water from the bathroom and wash them clean."
From a tool for venting desire to a foot-washing servant.
Leon silently stood up, went to the bathroom to fill a basin with hot water, and carried it back.
"Too hot," Losweiser said.
"Your feet aren't even in it. How do you know it's too hot?" Leon asked.
"If I say it's too hot, it's too hot. Go get another basin."
"Why can't you woman be reasonable at all?"
"You dare reason with a woman? Besides, I'm not a woman. I'm a dragon."
Leon was left speechless.
What a sin.
This was all the sin created by that blow he had struck back then!
Helplessly, he had no choice but to fetch another basin of water.
"Too cold."
"Dragon Queen, are you done yet?"
Losweiser suppressed a smile. "Not listening? Do you want to do that again?"
At those words, Leon instantly caved and hurried off to replace the water.
"Mm, this one's just right. Start washing."
Leon supported Losweiser's sole with one hand while pouring warm water over the top of her foot with the other.
For the first wash, he cleaned off the "dirty stuff" on them. For the second, he fetched another basin of warm water and washed both feet together.
It was not that Leon was so proficient at washing feet that it was heartbreaking;
it was that every last bit of this was Losweiser's demand.
That damned Dragon Queen really knew how to enjoy herself.
The more Leon thought about it, the angrier he became, and the angrier he became, the more he thought about it.
The strongest Dragon Slayer had fallen to become the Dragon Queen's foot-washing servant. It was beyond anything he would dare dream even in a nightmare.
He lifted Losweiser's foot, looked at the exquisite little foot, and slowly brought it toward his mouth,
