The Fall of the City Lord's Mansion

After settling Xiao Ding's affairs, Lin Yu prepared to begin carrying out the plan with Hai Bodong!

Lin Yu roughly assessed the balance of power in Stone Desert City. The Desert Iron Mercenary Group ranked third in strength; first was the City Lord's Mansion, followed by the Sand Mercenary Group, simply because their leader was a Da Dou Shi. In the rear garden of the City Lord's Mansion, a middle-aged man in white robes was leisurely drinking tea.

Several beautiful young women knelt before him. Each of them was tied up and covered in wounds.

The middle-aged man's sallow face bore a pair of lecherous eyes. He paced back and forth before the women, sizing them up, occasionally reaching out with his greasy hands to grope them. The vile grin on his face was impossible to miss.

"The City Lord is certainly in high spirits!" A teasing voice rang out.

Hearing the voice, the middle-aged man abruptly stopped what he was doing and looked at the newcomers warily, ready to strike at any moment.

The newcomers were none other than Lin Yu and Hai Bodong.

"Men! Take them down!"

Before long, the courtyard was filled with people. They were all mercenaries, surrounding Lin Yu and Hai Bodong from every side, their spears and broadswords raised threateningly.

Hai Bodong was about to make a move, but Lin Yu stopped him. Hai Bodong looked puzzled.

"You go outside and wait first," Lin Yu said to Hai Bodong.

Hai Bodong did not question him. With a flash, he left the City Lord's Mansion.

"Is this everyone, City Lord Hou Yue?" Lin Yu asked Hou Yue with a faint smile.

The more Hou Yue looked at Lin Yu, the more alarmed he became. Surrounded by so many people, Lin Yu remained utterly calm and composed. Was it absolute strength that gave him such confidence? Or had he been frightened stupid?

Hou Yue had assumed that old man was Lin Yu's source of confidence. But now that the old man had left, why was Lin Yu still so unruffled?

"Don't be so arrogant! Go! Kill him!" Startled by Lin Yu's gaze, Hou Yue quickly ordered his men to slaughter him!

The moment Hou Yue finished speaking, the surrounding men wasted no time. They raised their blades and charged at Lin Yu!

Lin Yu stood there without moving. He closed his eyes, and when he opened them again, they held an entirely different sight.

Several blades were about to strike Lin Yu, yet he remained motionless, allowing them to slash down.

When the mercenaries' blades touched Lin Yu's body, they discovered in astonishment that the blades passed directly through him. Carried by their momentum, the mercenaries all stumbled and fell to the ground. Those behind them who could not stop their swings slashed directly into the fallen men, and screams instantly filled the courtyard.

Ridiculously, the only ones attacking were their own people. Lin Yu had not even moved, yet they had already collapsed into disarray.

"What is going on? Why did the attacks pass right through him?" At last, a mercenary voiced the question.

One by one, the mercenaries stopped attacking, staring at Lin Yu with terror written all over their faces.

"Finished? Then it's my turn, right?" Lin Yu smiled brightly, but the scarlet in his eyes made him seem like an evil ghost!

Hou Yue could no longer remain seated. He stared at Lin Yu in horror. "You... are you human or a ghost...?"

"That no longer matters. You deserve to die!" As he spoke, Lin Yu focused his left eye. "Tsukuyomi"!

The moment those two words fell, everyone present aside from the kneeling women collapsed to the ground, their eyes rolled white as though they had suffered an immense shock.

"Amaterasu!"

Lin Yu gave another soft cry, and black flames ignited over the fallen people. A sizzling sound echoed throughout the courtyard—the sound of flames burning flesh!

Yet the people whose bodies were on fire did not make a single sound. It was not because they were strong; their minds had already shattered. Like dead pigs, they could only lie there and be slaughtered.
