Reunion with the Demon God Emperor (Part 1)

Ten meters, nine meters, eight meters, seven meters...

Ye Xiaolei walked step by step toward the Demon God Emperor. As though afraid of startling her, the Demon God Emperor remained where he was, merely extending his right hand and waiting quietly.

Five meters. Only five meters remained between them. So long as Ye Xiaolei took another two steps forward, the Demon God Emperor's hand would be able to touch her. At this moment, her gaze had grown even more lost, as if she could no longer see anything before her, or had sunk into some other state.

She took another step, drawing closer still. Excitement had already begun to show deep in the Demon God Emperor's eyes. Having reached his realm, there was little left for him to seek. Yet becoming a true god was his greatest goal. Not to mention escaping the torment of divine backlash. Thus, genuine emotion showed in his eyes.

But at that very instant, the Demon God Emperor's mind suddenly trembled. Instinctively, he lunged forward, his outstretched right hand shooting toward Ye Xiaolei to seize her.

At that very instant, Ye Xiaolei's lost eyes abruptly cleared, their clarity overflowing with intense hatred.

A gleaming white figure appeared before Ye Xiaolei without warning. It even carried Ye Xiaolei's distinctive aura of life.

Naturally, the Demon God Emperor's grasp landed upon that gleaming white body. What he caught was a fist.

An indescribably dazzling radiance suddenly surged from the figure's chest. The Demon God Emperor felt as though he were facing an endless starry sky, every star unleashing its most brilliant splendor. That light stretched without bound, and its immense power seemed intent on illuminating every trace of darkness he possessed.
