"Although the Saint Lucia royal family was indeed rather pitiful, those people had already gained the trust of the citizens and the government's support at the time, so there was nothing we could do but let the matter drop," Commodore Adkin lamented.

"The Saint Lucia Kingdom was already the second-largest military power on Lodestar Island after Alabasta, with a standing army of five hundred thousand. When an entire nation throws its full support behind a war, those small kingdoms on Lodestar Island naturally stand no chance," Adkin said solemnly.
"If matters had stopped there, it could only have been considered a dispute between nations. Cruel, yes, but nothing out of the ordinary. However, that newly appointed Saint Lucia king's brutality still exceeded my imagination. He actually ordered massacres in those two defeated kingdoms. The royal families, nobles, armies, and even civilians all fell beneath their butcher's blades!"
"Have they gone mad? Even the government couldn't possibly pretend not to see something like that, could it?" The commodore beside them clearly did not understand the entire chain of events, and he cried out in shock after hearing this.
"The king's explanation was that the two kingdoms had actually surrendered falsely and intended to assassinate him during the surrender ceremony. To prevent unnecessary sacrifices, he had no choice but to steel his heart and kill everyone who might resist," Adkin said mockingly.
