"Please, this way, sir!" The auction house manager bent at a ninety-degree angle and humbly opened the door leading to the slave holding area.
"Mm." Redfield gave a slight nod and walked in calmly.
After experiencing more than a dozen transformations between old age and youth within a minute, the manager had indeed become much more obedient.
"Sir, this auction has an abundance of precious merchandise. Aside from merfolk and giants, you can take whichever one catches your eye," the manager said ingratiatingly.
Redfield said nothing, merely fixing his ruby-like eyes on him.
A second later, the manager was covered in snot and tears as he wailed, "The news about the merfolk and giant has already spread. A Celestial Dragon has even expressed interest in them. I really don't dare let you take them away directly!"
"A Celestial Dragon is coming?" Redfield wasn't surprised. He had come to this auction house only after making his inquiries.
"Saint Jelmack and Saint Yakvis," the manager answered cautiously.
Redfield gave a slight nod without speaking and continued forward. Unable to figure out what he was thinking, the manager could only quicken his pace to keep up.
Just then, shouts came from the area ahead. "Mr. Disco, Mr. Disco, what's wrong? Doctor, go get the doctor!"
The manager glanced at Redfield's expression, then grabbed a guard who was hurrying out and asked, "What happened?"
"Mr. Disco was disciplining that mermaid, but I don't know what happened. He suddenly passed out." The guard was somewhat curious about Redfield's identity, but under the manager's past tyranny, he didn't dare ask any questions.
"Passed out?" The manager was about to speak when Redfield said, "Take me there!"
"Yes!"
