After dealing with Slaik, Sordil did not lead everyone away from the Silver Moon Bar. Instead, he had Diphiya and the others pick rooms they liked. At the same time, he ordered Lindel to inquire about Duke Gould Lanlos on the main streets and in the taverns. Once Mevajena had thoroughly disposed of Slaik's corpse, Sordil took out the decrepit building he had taken away that afternoon and had Mevajena and the others memorize its features. After arranging all of this, Sordil went out again with Seraf.
"Master, where are we going now?"
"Of course, we're following the original plan and going to Vitus Restaurant to retrieve the intelligence and house that belong to us."
"But..."
"You mean that they sent people to follow us this afternoon, so it wouldn't be safe to go there now?"
"Not exactly! In this city, there probably isn't anyone who could threaten your safety. What I'm worried about is whether their intelligence is reliable. The losses caused by false intelligence are even worse than having no intelligence at all. If they use fake information to mislead us, we'll be in deep trouble!"
"Haha! Seraf, you truly are a merchant at heart—you have a sharp eye for these things! But do you really think I haven't guarded against that? So tonight, Vitus Restaurant isn't the only place we'll be visiting, and we still have plenty to do. Haha!"
Seraf watched Sordil leave with a hearty laugh, utterly baffled and unable to figure out what his master was plotting this time. As Sordil's figure grew more distant, Seraf simply stopped thinking about it. He only needed to follow his master's orders when the time came. Besides, one day his master would tell him the plan anyway, so why rush?
