The Fuse Is Lit

"Brother Gajeel, why don't we just take care of those three weaklings directly? Why are we even following them?! (Poz, full of resentment)"

Perfectly concealed within the bushes, Iron Block said quietly, "We could take them down now, sure, but that wouldn't anger Makarov. Then the Guild Master's plan would go down the drain!"

"Then why are we following them at all? Why not just head straight to Fairy Tail's base? (Sou, confused)"

Hearing this, Iron Block and Poz both stared at her as though she were an idiot.

"What? (Sou, even more confused)"

"Miss, what do you think will happen if just the three of us go up against an entire guild? (Poz, speechless)"

"Pop~"

As though a light bulb had lit up beside her ear, the purple cat-eared girl finally caught on.

"I get it! We—"

"Shh!"

Covering the cat-eared girl's mouth with one hand, Iron Block poked his head out and looked beyond the bushes.

"Let's go. To Fairy Tail!"

"Huh??? (in unison)"

Having said that, Iron Block gave the two bewildered people no explanation and headed straight for Fairy Tail.

"What the hell?"

Curious, Poz turned his head one hundred and twenty-three degrees. The next second, the corners of his mouth stretched all the way to his ears.

"Hm?"

Sou, already curious to begin with, became even more curious upon seeing Poz's expression. She turned her head as well, and a huge sign reading "Magnolia Station" appeared in her field of vision.

"Pfft... Hahaha!"

Hearing the silver-bell and barbell-like laughter behind him, Iron Block's face darkened on one side... Wait, wasn't Gajeel's whole face black? Forget it, you get the idea! (Gajeel: Great Owl, I feel like you're mocking me. I'm filing a complaint with Mashima!)

With half his face darkened, Iron Block roared, "Are you
