"Death"
Mistergo, Grand Saint Palace.
At this moment, Riezel still had no idea that a plan targeting him had already been set in motion within the Abyss.
After the Curtain descended and there was no longer any need to worry about Abyss Creatures outside breaking in to cause trouble, Riezel led Merlot, Naisha, and Belti deeper into the Grand Saint Palace, heading toward its innermost depths.
Yet the farther they went, the more everyone felt that some great fear might be lurking here.
There truly was not a single Abyss Creature in sight. The place was completely empty, resembling nothing more than ordinary ruins—a dilapidated, abandoned palace. It did not look at all like the residence of a savior whom the Abyss had once deliberately targeted.
"There's definitely something wrong with this place."
This was undoubtedly the shared thought of all four of them. Even Riezel furrowed his brow, keeping Clear World active throughout, a transparent gleam flickering in his eyes as he no longer appeared so carefree.
As for Merlot, Naisha, and Belti, they were all on high alert. Some quietly gripped their weapons, some stood ready to use the precious trump cards they carried, and some had even mentally prepared themselves for danger, making the atmosphere unbearably grave.
It was worth mentioning that the Grand Saint Palace was not a multi-story building. It had only a single floor, but that floor was incredibly vast and lofty, with multiple courtyards connected to one another. At first glance, it looked like an entire complex of buildings.
Naisha had also told them about it.
"I once happened to see some records regarding the Grand Saint Palace in ancient texts. If I remember correctly, this place should consist of a front hall, a central hall, a rear hall, and four side halls."
