Whenever he imagined that scene, an indescribable excitement rose within Beryl, making him want to lick his fingers—his claws—as though they were already covered in the blood of the woman he loved.

It sounded as though he was simply a madman who wanted to kill everything, yet at the same time, he could get along peacefully with anyone. He could drink tea and chat with others like a normal person, acting like a gentleman.
