The Dungeon—a barren land where not a blade of grass grew.

It was a vast expanse of rock and gravel, everything dyed reddish-brown.

Blowing sand filled the desolate earth.

Murky air spread through the space as well.

Yet in this world, which was clearly untouched by human presence and where people would never normally appear, a war had broken out.

"Roar!"

"Roar!"

Accompanied by terrifying roars, a horde of monsters charged forward with heavy footsteps that shook the ground like a stampeding herd, kicking up sand and wind as they advanced.

The monsters had two twisted, backward-curving horns like goats. Hideous faces resembling horse muzzles bulged from their necks, and their bodies were easily larger than those of grown adults. With bulging muscles and sturdy frames, they wielded clubs resembling fossilized bones, looking like savage humanoids with wicked appearances.

This group of ferocious monsters was clearly extraordinarily powerful, far beyond the monsters of the Upper Floors or even the Middle Floors. They were at least classified as Lv.3, and there were tremendous numbers of them. Like a barbaric tribe dwelling in the wilderness, their charge was no less imposing than an army of thousands, inspiring fear.

Their target was the intruders who had suddenly entered this floor.

"Fire!"

The prum leader at the rear issued his command across the wasteland.

At his order, the rear guards who had long since raised their bows released their fully drawn strings in unison. A rain of arrows forged from refined iron streaked through the air and poured down upon the charging monster horde.

"Pshk!" "Pshk!" "Pshk!"

The next second, the arrows easily pierced one monster after another, either stabbing into their heads or sinking deep into their bodies. The monsters howled in agony and fell one after another, bursting apart into dust.
