Before this grandest and largest palace, a Knight Order stood guard all year round, responsible for the safety of the Queen's bedchamber.

This was the Queen's Knight Order. Its members were all knights at the True Swordsman level. It was divided into one hundred and eight units, each with no fewer than seven members and as many as twelve. Once the entire Queen's Knight Order assembled, it would number roughly seven hundred to twelve hundred True Swordsmen.

Without question, it was an enormous force—an utterly terrifying level of combat power.

Especially the first twenty-eight of the one hundred and eight units. All twenty-eight were fully staffed with twelve members each, and their Knight Captains and vice Knight Captains were veterans even among veteran True Swordsmen. By DanMachi World standards, they would be at the uppermost reaches of Lv.6, perhaps even at the pinnacle of Lv.6.

A knight like Shuen, if placed among those twenty-eight Knight Orders, could not even be considered an expert. At best, he would rank above average.

It was said that the Knight Captains of the top three among those twenty-eight Knight Orders were only a single step away from becoming Sword Saints. Perhaps they would not be much inferior even to Albert Borley of Ginas Kingdom?

The Knight Order stationed at the Queen's bedchamber rotated shifts, and there was only one requirement for deployment here: it had to be one of the first twenty-eight units.

In other words, the combat force permanently stationed at the Queen's bedchamber normally included at least twelve True Swordsmen. The Knight Captain and vice Knight Captain among them were veteran-level experts, and with the attached soldier corps, the defenses were airtight and layered.
