"They're All Here."

"Tap... tap... tap... tap..."

In the deserted subway passage, the sound of Riezel descending the stairs was exceptionally clear.

The mass of demonic blood still floated above his head, its crimson glow shining over his face and lending him an air of bloodthirsty cruelty.

Expressionless, Riezel descended the stairs and arrived at the subway platform.

There was not only a silent train stopped on the tracks here, but also people standing all around.

There were a great many of them, nearly filling the entire platform.

Yet strangely, not a single one made a sound or moved in the slightest. As though they had fallen into a stupor, they stood there blankly and motionlessly, as if they had lost their souls.

Some of the many humans who had gone missing in Shibuya had finally appeared here.

Riezel stopped and watched for a while, discovering that this place contained more than just people standing blankly in place.

It appeared that a fierce battle had taken place here as well. There were signs of destruction everywhere, and the ground was littered with the corpses of humans and the monsters that had filled the subway passage just moments ago.

Both humans and monsters lay in pools of blood. Some had their eyes wide open, their faces blank, seemingly unaware of anything before their souls had already departed for hell. Others wore expressions of terror, losing their precious lives in fear and despair.

Whether human or monster, however, almost none of the corpses were intact.

This was especially true of the monster corpses. Who knew how many had had their heads torn off? Each was left with nothing but severed limbs and mangled remains. It was clear that their killer had been obsessed with efficiency, giving them clean, swift deaths.

Riezel silently watched it all.
