Unlike Riezel, who headed straight for the very center of the successive Curtains, Itadori Yuji and the others had a far less smooth journey.

No, it was not just Itadori Yuji and the others. The Curse Users attacking from every direction were locked in constant fierce battles as well.

After Riezel destroyed the second Curtain, the Curse Users who entered it were first greeted by Cursed Spirits filling the streets.

None of these Cursed Spirits were low-grade. The weakest were Grade 3 Cursed Spirits, while Grade 2 Cursed Spirits made up roughly a third of the total. There were also quite a few Semi-Grade 1 and Grade 1 Cursed Spirits capable of using cursed techniques, and even Special Grade Cursed Spirits had appeared.

There were thousands upon thousands of these Cursed Spirits. Some had been collected from all over the world by Geto Suguru through Cursed Spirit Manipulation, some had been artificially spawned by Mahito and the other Cursed Spirits using Cursed Objects and similar methods, while others had simply been drawn here.

Shibuya was now a Demonic Lair. More than two hundred thousand civilians were trapped within it, with little chance of survival. Large numbers of Curse Users and Curse Sorcerers had gathered here as well, fighting bloody battles, causing the Negative Emotions released to become far more intense than in other cities and attracting countless Cursed Spirits.

Thanks to that, the number of Cursed Spirits gathered in Shibuya now far exceeded the number seen during last year's Night of a Hundred Demons. Their overall quality was high as well, with at least dozens of Special Grade Cursed Spirits appearing, forcing the Curse Users into a grueling struggle.

To make matters worse, a large number of Curse Sorcerers were causing trouble from within, opposing the Curse Users as well.
