Riezel truly had not expected that the final member among the four powerhouses of the Sendai Barrier would actually be a cursed spirit.

It stood atop the sea of cockroaches, its face pale and its body black, resembling either a humanoid cockroach or a black-robed figure wearing a cockroach mask. Aside from its cockroach-like face, every part of it was black, as though it were draped in a dark robe.

Its eyes were savage and brimming with malice, and the way it stared at Riezel was utterly blatant, without the slightest attempt at concealment.

That was clearly the gaze of something looking at delicious food, not at a human being.
