Ch. 522Beast (Beast)

Koyanskaya revealed herself as the juvenile Beast IV and engulfed the world in a Black Storm, unleashing attacks against Riezel and his allies. Mashu defended them with Lord Camelot while Riezel fortified her with spells, then he launched a counterattack against the Beast.

  • Koyanskaya manifested as the Beast of Play, Beast IV, and swallowed the world in a Black Storm.
  • Mashu activated Lord Camelot to shield everyone from the Beast's repeated attacks.
  • The Beast's assault wounded Mashu as she bore the attacks through her Noble Phantasm.
  • Riezel cast numerous defensive spells on Mashu, allowing her to withstand the blows.
  • Riezel flew from the Chalk City and struck the hidden Beast with his black blade and Crimson Lotus Flame.

Ch. 523Holy Lance Anchored!

Riezel fought Koyanskaya’s six-tailed Beast of Play with his full strength, but the beast overwhelmed him and battered him into Chalk City. As Da Vinci prepared to retreat, Riezel cast Meteor Fall and then invoked the Holy Lance, whose light appeared as the chapter ended.

  • Riezel used all twelve forms of Sun Breathing and combined the Dragon's Secret Treasure, Fierce Demon Spear, and Thunder Breathing to attack and evade the Beast of Play.
  • Riezel failed to stop Koyanskaya with Time Stop and hesitated over whether he could use the Great Magic he had gained from Morgan.
  • Koyanskaya struck Riezel into the walls of Chalk City and hammered his position with her tails while Artoria and Mashu tried to rush to his aid.
  • Tristan stopped Artoria and Mashu from entering the battle, while Da Vinci assessed Koyanskaya's six tails and concluded that the group needed to retreat.
  • Riezel cast Magic Triple Super-Enhancement: Meteor Fall, sending three enormous meteors crashing into the Beast of Play.
  • Riezel declared, "Holy Lance, Anchored," and a light appeared.

Ch. 524Rhongomyniad

Riezel used Morgan’s Great Magic, the Tower, to unleash Rhongomyniad and pierce Koyanskaya’s Beast form, ending the Black Storm. He collapsed from exhaustion afterward, and his companions carried him away to recover.

  • Riezel summoned Rhongomyniad, whose light stabilized the world and forced Koyanskaya’s unstable Beast form into view.
  • Riezel released the Holy Lance’s true name and struck Koyanskaya, splitting the Black Storm and swallowing her in its radiance.
  • Morgan watched Rhongomyniad’s light from her palace and recognized that Riezel had restored the lance’s true form.
  • Riezel fell unconscious after the battle, and Oberon caught him before Artoria and the others reached him.
  • Da Vinci examined Riezel and found him severely exhausted and injured but expected him to recover with a few days of rest.
  • Oberon urged the group to leave the battlefield, and they carried Riezel away to find somewhere for him to recover.

Ch. 525The Hidden Ones

Koyanskaya survived Riezel’s Holy Lance attack by sacrificing a tail, then met Beryl and returned to Gloucester. Beryl took and ate the severed tail, while Riezel later woke in a carriage with Artoria and Da Vinci after recovering from his exhaustion.

  • Koyanskaya recovered from her injuries by losing one of her six tails and decided to investigate Riezel and return to Gloucester.
  • Beryl confronted Koyanskaya, and the two exchanged threats before she left him behind.
  • Beryl picked up and ate Koyanskaya’s severed tail, then transformed into a giant beast and claimed he would use her power.
  • Riezel woke in a carriage beside the sleeping Artoria and used Healing Magic to treat his lingering injuries.
  • Da Vinci entered the carriage and explained that Riezel had quickly recovered after exhausting his magical power and mental strength with the Holy Lance.

Ch. 526Chaldea's Companions

Riezel learned that both groups were traveling to Norwich, where they could avoid the Queen’s forces and seek local help. Da Vinci confirmed Chaldea’s shared goal of stopping Morgan and considered Riezel’s group allies, though she remained curious about Riezel and his Holy Lance.

  • Da Vinci explained that Oberon had arranged carriages and chosen Norwich because Gloucester, Oxford, and Salisbury were unsuitable destinations for the group.
  • Riezel learned that Fujimaru Ritsuka remained unconscious after being revived, and Da Vinci was making decisions for Chaldea in his absence.
  • Da Vinci said Chaldea trusted Riezel’s group after their fight against the Queen’s faction and agreed that both parties aimed to stop Morgan.
  • Da Vinci recounted the prophecy that Artoria would overthrow Morgan and ring the six Pilgrimage Bells, and Riezel asked whether Chaldea’s members had recovered their memories.
  • Da Vinci confirmed that she had never lost her memories and that Mashu and Tristan had recovered theirs, then wondered about Riezel’s origins and the Holy Lance he possessed.

Ch. 527Target: Norwich

After recovering overnight, Riezel reunited with the others and Chaldea agreed to cooperate with him and Artoria against Morgan. The group set course for Norwich to contact its lord and try to ring the Pilgrimage Bell.

  • Da Vinci examined Riezel and found that his body and magical energy had fully recovered, while Artoria woke and checked on him.
  • Mash, Da Vinci, and Oberon visited Riezel, and Mash thanked him for saving her, Fujimaru Ritsuka, and Da Vinci.
  • Riezel and Da Vinci discussed how Chaldea’s allies and sacrifices had helped them save Pan-Human History, and Riezel praised Chaldea’s importance.
  • Da Vinci and Mash agreed that Chaldea should cooperate with Riezel and Artoria to defeat Morgan and put the True King on the throne.
  • Oberon announced that Chaldea would travel with the group to Norwich to contact its lord and try to ring the Pilgrimage Bell.

Ch. 528Artoria's Misgivings

Riezel’s group crossed the dangerous region near the Great Cave and reached a day’s travel from Norwich, using his magic to avoid threats and creating a fortified tower for the group to rest in. That night, Artoria asked Riezel whether she should continue to Norwich because she was concerned about the Mirror Clan’s prophecy.

  • Riezel used an Eight-Legged Horse and magic to speed the group’s journey and avoid enemies, bringing them near Norwich in one day.
  • Riezel created a towering fortress where the group chose rooms and settled in for the night.
  • Artoria visited Riezel after the others had fallen asleep, and he asked what was troubling her.
  • Artoria admitted she was uneasy around Mashu and Tristan because of the memories she had gained from her Pan-Human History self.
  • Artoria asked Riezel whether she should really go to Norwich, explaining that the Mirror Clan’s prophecy worried her.

Ch. 529A King Who Would Never Be Recognized

As Riezel and Artoria headed for Norwich, they discussed the prophecy linking her arrival to the city’s Calamity and concluded Morgan might be using Norwich as a sacrifice so she could destroy the threat at once. Artoria questioned whether Morgan deserved recognition as a king, while Riezel left her to consider whether she could oppose Morgan and claim the throne; he also hoped the trip would clarify his relationship with Morgan.

  • Riezel explained that the prophecy’s references to an Iron Town and a Calamity pointed to Norwich, where Artoria feared her arrival would trigger a disaster.
  • Artoria worried that she might fail to repel the powerful Calamity and questioned why Morgan had neither sent help nor ordered an evacuation.
  • Riezel suggested Morgan planned to let the Calamity erupt in Norwich, then use her Great Magic to destroy it, accepting the city’s losses as the cost.
  • Artoria objected that a king who sacrificed her people would never be recognized, and Riezel asked whether she was prepared to defeat Morgan and take the throne.
  • Artoria left without answering, while Riezel hoped the events in Norwich would reveal the truth of his relationship with Morgan.

Ch. 530Great Calamity

Riezel and his companions reached Norwich beneath a threatening vortex as they learned that the second Great Calamity was approaching. Riezel suspected the vortex was not the source of the Calamity and chose to visit the Earth Clan's Clan Chief before investigating it further.

  • Riezel and his companions arrived in Norwich and found the city darkened by a rotating vortex of storm clouds.
  • Oberon explained that Minor Calamities occurred every hundred years and Great Calamities every thousand years, making a second Great Calamity imminent after Morgan's two thousand years on the throne.
  • Artoria said Woodworth had defeated the King of Morse and ended the previous Great Calamity, becoming Britain's celebrated hero.
  • Mashu wondered whether the King of Morse was forming inside the vortex, but Riezel said he sensed no cursed power there and instead felt immense magical power.
  • Riezel decided to visit the Earth Clan's Clan Chief first so Artoria could ring Norwich's Pilgrimage Bell.

Ch. 531Treasury City

Riezel and his companions entered Norwich, where the fairies welcomed the supposed Child of Prophecy, and were summoned to meet the city’s ruler, Spriggan. Spriggan greeted Riezel in Treasury City as the Queen’s husband and Britain’s prince.

  • Riezel’s arrival in Norwich caused the fairies to celebrate because they believed the Child of Prophecy would repel the Calamity.
  • Oberon explained that Morgan had abandoned Norwich, making its inhabitants eager to welcome Riezel instead.
  • A guard sent by Spriggan invited Riezel to Treasury City, and Da Vinci, Mashu, Artoria, and Oberon accompanied him while Tristan stayed with the sleeping Master.
  • At Treasury City, Spriggan welcomed Riezel and addressed him as the prince.

Ch. 532An Unexpected Demand

Riezel and his companions met Spriggan in Norwich to obtain the Pilgrimage Bell, but Spriggan demanded that Riezel protect Treasury City and stay out of the approaching calamity. Riezel left without agreeing, and the skies over Norwich darkened.

  • Riezel and his companions met Spriggan, the Earth Clan's Clan Chief, who was known for pursuing profit and keeping his loyalties ambiguous.
  • Spriggan said he would hand over the Pilgrimage Bell only if Riezel agreed to protect him and Treasury City.
  • Artoria and Oberon questioned why Spriggan would not evacuate Norwich or ask them to drive back the calamity.
  • Spriggan revealed his second demand: Riezel must not interfere with the calamity, and Spriggan would give him the bell after it passed.
  • Riezel ended the discussion and walked away with Artoria and the others, while the skies above Norwich grew darker.

Ch. 533Do You Still Want to Ring It?

Riezel rejected Spriggan’s offer and took Artoria to Treasury City’s Bell Tower Hall to ring the Pilgrimage Bell without permission. The bell’s call spread across Britain, and Morgan awakened in Camelot as her magical power surged.

  • Artoria, Mashu, Da Vinci, Oberon, and the others left Spriggan’s meeting, suspecting his motives despite his truthful words.
  • Riezel teleported himself and Artoria to Treasury City’s Bell Tower Hall, intending to ring the Pilgrimage Bell without Spriggan’s approval.
  • Riezel explained to Artoria that Spriggan was too untrustworthy to make a reliable ally, and Artoria agreed to proceed without him.
  • Artoria chanted before the Pilgrimage Bell and rang it, sending its peal throughout the Fairy Kingdom of Britain.
  • Morgan opened her eyes in Camelot, took up the Black Spear, and began gathering magical power.

Ch. 534Calamity! Eruption!

After Riezel’s group rang Norwich’s Pilgrimage Bells, Spriggan tried to have them arrested to protect his scheme to profit from the city’s destruction. The Calamity erupted as Woodworth arrived in Norwich to confront Riezel.

  • The fairies of Norwich celebrated when Riezel’s group rang the Pilgrimage Bells, while Spriggan ordered Fang Clan guards to arrest them and make it appear he had not consented.
  • Spriggan revealed that he had sold Norwich’s land, hoping the Calamity would destroy the city so he could reclaim the territory and profit from reconstruction.
  • Spriggan planned to keep Riezel’s group trapped in the Treasury City, but a guard reported that Mors were approaching from the harbor and the Calamity had erupted.
  • Woodworth arrived outside Norwich with a Fang Clan legion after learning Riezel was in the city, and led his forces inside to pursue him.

Ch. 535Shadows in the Sea

Artoria rang the Pilgrimage Bell and grew powerful enough to repel Spriggan’s lord guard, while Riezel defeated the Fang Clan fairies who attacked them. As they prepared to escape Treasury City, a horde of Mors invaded Norwich, and Riezel teleported with Artoria to find Mashu and the others.

  • Artoria’s power surged after she rang the Pilgrimage Bell, bringing her strength close to Lv.7.
  • Spriggan’s lord guard and Fang Clan fairies entered the Bell Tower Hall to seize the Child of Prophecy, but Artoria badly wounded the captain and Riezel cut down the attackers.
  • Riezel and Artoria heard the alarm and saw more than a thousand Mors invading Norwich from the sea, infecting and assimilating the fairies.
  • Artoria recognized the invasion as the eruption of the Calamity, which Riezel realized had been triggered early by her arrival.
  • Riezel teleported with Artoria to find Mashu and the others as the Mors continued overrunning Norwich.

Ch. 536Large Morse

Mashu and Da Vinci held back the Mors attacking Treasury City until Riezel and Artoria returned. As a Large Morse emerged and attacked, Oberon revealed that Mors grew stronger by devouring fairies, and Riezel began fighting the creature.

  • Da Vinci fired missiles at the advancing Mors while Mashu defended her and kept the horde from reaching Treasury City.
  • Riezel and Artoria arrived and Riezel’s Sacred Rite: Aurora cleared a large area of Mors around Mashu and Da Vinci.
  • A Large Morse emerged and fired a powerful Magic Bullet, which Riezel cut apart with Circular Dance Flash.
  • Oberon returned with Tristan and Fujimaru Ritsuka, then explained that the Large Morse was likely an evolved Mors formed by devouring fairies.
  • Riezel clashed with the Large Morse and burned many Mors with Scorching Bone Flame Sun as the creature prepared another attack.

Ch. 537Holy-Attribute Attack

Riezel used holy-attribute magic to destroy the Large Morse and clear a path through the Mors surrounding Treasury City. With the group’s escape route open, they prepared to retreat and leave the city’s defenders behind.

  • Mashu shielded Artoria, Da Vinci, Tristan, and the others while they fought off the Mors horde around Treasury City.
  • Riezel used Brilliant Radiance and Sunlight Burst to purify the Large Morse and wipe out the smaller Mors nearby.
  • Tristan urged the group to retreat through the cleared street before the Mors surrounded them again.
  • Artoria and Mashu hesitated to leave the fairies and Treasury City, but Da Vinci persuaded them to retreat and trust the city’s defenses.
  • Oberon drove the carriage forward, and Riezel offered to clear the way.

Ch. 538Mixed Breathing Techniques

Riezel used a mixed Sun and Moon Breathing technique to carve a path through the Mors surrounding Treasury City, then flew alongside Oberon’s carriage as it fled Norwich. As he cleared another horde, Woodworth attacked him in midair.

  • Riezel combined Sun Breathing with Moon Breathing, using a powerful slash to destroy the Mors blocking the road and clear a path from Treasury City.
  • Artoria, Mashu, Da Vinci, Tristan, and the unconscious Fujimaru Ritsuka climbed into Oberon’s carriage, and Oberon drove them out while Riezel flew after them.
  • Riezel repeatedly destroyed Mors ahead of the carriage, while the Eight-Legged Horse leapt across the craters and tossed the passengers around.
  • Riezel dodged incoming Magic Bullets as he cleared the road, then noticed a figure charging toward him through the air.
  • Woodworth struck Riezel’s blade with his claw, and Oberon recognized the attacker and called his name.

Ch. 539Your Era Is Long Gone

Riezel fought Woodworth above Norwich while Woodworth’s elite Fang Clan fairies surrounded Artoria’s group. As both battles intensified, Artoria prepared to enchant her companions so they could break through.

  • Woodworth attacked Riezel and unleashed a howl and magical power that frightened Artoria’s group as elite Fang Clan fairies surrounded their carriage.
  • Riezel taunted Woodworth about his fading status and the Fairy Knights, prompting Woodworth to rage and attack more violently.
  • Riezel and Woodworth clashed across Norwich, destroying buildings as their battle drew the Mors toward them.
  • Fang Clan fairies attacked Artoria and Mashu, while Tristan and Da Vinci assessed how many enemies they could handle.
  • Artoria raised the Staff of Selection and announced that she would enchant everyone so they could break out together.

Ch. 540Above the Ugliest Sin

Riezel used Moon Breathing reinforced by Sun Breathing to suppress Woodworth, but he could not penetrate the Great Fairy’s protection. Woodworth broke through Riezel’s attacks and ended the chapter by driving him through Norwich in a scorching heat storm.

  • Riezel unleashed a rapid series of Moon Breathing forms, battering Woodworth and demolishing buildings around them.
  • Woodworth roared away Riezel’s moon-wheel sword energies, revealing that his Great Fairy protection still made him nearly impossible to injure.
  • Riezel told Woodworth that Britain and everything on the island were built on ugly sins and were destined to be cleansed and corrected.
  • Woodworth declared that he would kill Riezel and charged as a storm of scorching heat.
  • Riezel’s Fourteenth Style clashed with Woodworth’s heat storm, but Woodworth shattered the ground to interrupt Riezel’s Teleportation Magic.
  • Woodworth rammed Riezel through buildings across Norwich, sweeping Mors into the storm and shaking the city.

Ch. 541You Did Not Die Unjustly

Riezel survived Woodworth’s apparent killing blow by using Meloy God and an illusion, then defeated him by infecting him with the Curse of Morse. Woodworth died before he could finish transforming into a Mors.

  • Woodworth believed he had killed Riezel and celebrated his victory.
  • Riezel revealed that his death had been an illusion and attacked Woodworth from behind.
  • Riezel explained that he had used a dagger laden with the Curse of Morse to break Woodworth’s blessing.
  • The curse weakened and began transforming Woodworth into a Mors as Riezel approached him.
  • Riezel beheaded Woodworth, whose body turned to ash and disappeared.
