Four-colored auroras flowed, freezing time and space. Everything within the tiny room solidified.
The little boy's body stirred slightly, and a stream of light stepped out from between his brows, transforming into the figure of a tall, imposing young man.
"Lin Meng greets you, Fellow Daoist!"
The young man appeared and gave a slight bow.
"Gu Shaoshang greets you, Fellow Daoist!"
Gu Shaoshang cupped his hands in salute, his expression calm, showing not the slightest discomfort at having been discovered.
His gaze shifted as his thoughts turned.
Lin Meng's realm was not particularly surprising. In Gu Shaoshang's view, it lay somewhere between the number of Great Luo and the Profound Number of Great Luo. Though remarkable, it was not the Hunyuan Realm he had imagined.
What surprised him even more was that one at the level of Great Luo should have transcended time and space, eternally free and unfettered.
Yet he sensed an invisible shackle upon him, as though it bound him, or perhaps...
"Where do you come from, Fellow Daoist?"
A strange look appeared on Lin Meng's face as he studied Gu Shaoshang with a trace of probing curiosity in his eyes.
"I came from the Chaos Sea. Seeing that this world was unusual, I entered without invitation. I hope the host will not take offense."
Gu Shaoshang spoke calmly.
"Why would I take offense?"
Lin Meng waved his hand and said, "My elder brother enjoys discussing the Dao with others most of all. He was quite delighted to learn that Fellow Daoist had arrived."
He truly meant it. His and Primordial Chaos Daoist's circumstances differed from those of others, and he was more interested than anything else in Gu Shaoshang's arrival.
"Your elder brother..."
Gu Shaoshang nodded slightly. "Was it your elder brother who discovered Gu Shaoshang?"
