My head hurts, my head hurts.
I'm scared of writing a standalone chapter now. It feels a bit like asking a teacher for leave back in school...
But I still wanted to talk to everyone. The book was more or less at this point now. It wasn't a rushed ending; it was simply time to stop while it was enough.
In many recent chapters, Gouzi had actually done his best to avoid lengthy battles and push the plot forward. You probably hadn't seen any more one-punch-per-chapter scenes, 2333.
And I fast-forwarded through the Primordial Era arc.
Writing toward the later stages of a book felt so powerless. I didn't know what the big-name authors thought, but from Gouzi's own perspective, it was really hard to keep under control. After all, I was still a newbie, wasn't I?
Maybe there were too many plot holes to fill. Or maybe there had been some minor issues with my family and myself...
Of course, that was because Gouzi's writing ability wasn't good enough. The plot holes couldn't take the blame; nothing could take the blame.
Some friends had said, "What's the point of agonizing over this? Not only do people curse you out, you lose readers, and you even lose your attendance bonus..."
"If you can't write, then finish the book and start a new one. Why drag it out? There are thousands of books on Qidian every day. Who the hell do you think you are..."
And so on—heart-piercing words like that.
Yeah. Who lacked one more book to read?
Those of you willing to read my book were doing me a kindness.
You all didn't need to curse me anymore. In this world, there was no one who wanted to write a proper ending more than I did.
Really. You couldn't
