Trap: The Adventurers' Despair and Hope

The enormous roar of magic echoed and spread through the skies above the Great Forest of Tob. Countless chirping birds flew out of the dense jungle in panic, fleeing deeper into the forest.

At the edge of Kahn Base, the leaders of three Mithril Rank adventurer teams stood at the front.

"Whew, that was quite a commotion." Rainbow Krenack raised an arm to his forehead and gazed toward the forest.

"That was exactly the point."

Four Arms Sukama wore full silver armor and tucked her helmet beneath her left arm as she spoke with a grave expression.

"We only made a disturbance around the outskirts. I wonder if it can draw out that unknown monster." Kralgra Igvarge grinned and shrugged. "The Great Forest of Tob is dense with trees. The noise might not have carried very far."

"We can only hope that unknown monster attacked Kahn Base because it considers this area its territory."

"That's right."

"If it's the other possibility, then we'll have no choice but to enter the forest to complete the Guild's mission. The risk would be far too high."

"What was the Guild Master of E-Rantel thinking, establishing a base in a dangerous place like the Great Forest of Tob?"

Leader Sukama, I happen to know a little about that."

"A few years ago, the Great Forest of Tob suffered a Monster Disaster. The evil secret organization Zurrernorn eliminated the forest's original three great rulers, causing the monsters within the forest to lose control."

"However, the adventurers led by the Adamantite Rank Blue Roses resolved it, and the powerful monsters in the forest were wiped out as well."

"Before the incident that led to Kahn Base being established, there really hadn't been any problems."

"Then what is this suddenly appearing powerful monster?"
