Chapter Summaries

Li Feng healed Fury so he could beat him for concealing Pierce’s identity, then freed Bucky from Hydra’s control. As the group prepared to stop Project Insight, Steve insisted they destroy the Helicarriers and S.H.I.E.L.D. along with Hydra.

• Fury revealed that he had faked his death with tetrodotoxin, and Hill said they had kept the truth from Steve and Natasha because Steve was bad at lying.
• Li Feng repeatedly healed and beat Fury, then demanded that Fury take him to the real Pierce and let him search the paper archives.
• Steve said he would help Bucky repay the harm he had caused under Hydra’s control, and Li Feng removed Hydra’s control from Bucky while helping sort through his memories.
• Fury explained that the group had to replace the targeting chips on all three Helicarriers to stop Project Insight from killing millions.
