Chapter Summaries

Li Feng built a thriving trade with gods and demigods at Camp Half-Blood, then set out for the Sea of Monsters to find the Aegis of Immortality. After capturing the monster Charybdis, he searched for the island of the Cyclops Polyphemus and finally reached an abandoned amusement park.

• Li Feng traded potions, magical goods, and services with gods including Hephaestus, Apollo, and Chloris, while Circe exchanged spells for the Animagus transformation.
• After his trades dwindled, Li Feng left Camp Half-Blood on his Dark Cloud and headed for the Bermuda Triangle in search of the Aegis of Immortality.
• When flying was forbidden over the sea, Li Feng encountered Charybdis, burned it with Spirit Fire, and used the Mind Stone to discover its nearly nonexistent intelligence.
• Li Feng tracked down and sealed the sleeping Charybdis in his shoulder bag, then opened a Portal to search for Polyphemus's amusement park.

• Bruner returned Li Feng’s Mortal Cup and warned him that Hades had placed a bounty on him and the Lotus Eaters after Li Feng’s actions with their Lotus Cakes.
• At the dining hall, Li Feng met Tyson, Poseidon’s Cyclops son, and advised him to ignore the other demigods’ gossip and be himself.

Li Feng learned how the Orb ended up with Quill and that Quill and his companions were imprisoned, then decided to leave the Orb alone while pursuing a plan involving the Broker and Taneleer Tivan. He reached Knowhere with the mind-controlled Broker and began arranging a meeting with Taneleer Tivan.

• Kreacher told Li Feng that Barite had followed Quill to Morag, where Quill found the Orb, and that the Nova Corps later arrested Quill, Gamora, Rocket, and Groot.

Li Feng manipulated Taneleer Tivan into rejecting a deal for the Reality Stone, then used the Broker’s death to evade Tivan’s foresight and infiltrated Kyln Prison. He joined Rocket, Groot, Quill, Gamora, and Drax during their escape, leaving the prison without getting a meal.

• Taneleer Tivan rejected the Broker’s offer, and the Broker planted curiosity about the Aether in Carina’s mind before leaving.
• Li Feng used a Portal to replace the Broker’s Genie Balls with grenades, which the Broker detonated while mercenaries tried to rob him.

• Li Feng threatened Quill and Rocket with daggers and demanded a share of the Orb’s bounty, then claimed the daggers were poisoned.
• Gamora led the group to meet Taneleer Tivan’s agent, Carina, while Quill calmed Rocket and Drax after they argued in a bar.
