Chapter Summaries

Li Feng deliberately provoked Thoth, Horus, and Hathor with a barbecue outside Thoth’s home, then secretly planned to make Thoth look foolish. As the group crossed the swamp, Thoth questioned Li Feng’s motives and tried to make Horus face Hathor’s sacrifice, but Horus refused to confront his feelings.

• Li Feng grilled snake meat outside Thoth’s home and taunted him until Thoth drew a knife and Horus restrained him.
