Ch. 301I’ll Start with You

Koinatsu sent Karin and Sui fleeing while she faced Mitsu, who attacked with her Blood Demon Art, Scarlet Queen. Gyutaro appeared in time to save Koinatsu, smashed Mitsu into a wall, and began manifesting his Sacrificial Demon Scythe.

  • Koinatsu told Karin to take Sui to safety, then stood in Mitsu's way as the girls ran.
  • Mitsu transformed with her Scarlet Queen Blood Demon Art and struck at Koinatsu with a barbed whip.
  • Gyutaro appeared in front of Koinatsu and caught Mitsu's whip with one hand.
  • Gyutaro yanked Mitsu toward him and punched her through the air into a wall, cracking her armor and breaking the whip.
  • Gyutaro tore an arm bone from himself and transformed it into his Sacrificial Demon Scythe.

Ch. 302The Twelfth Form Is Enough

Gyutaro protected Koinatsu and revealed his ability to regenerate after removing his arm bones to make weapons. Meanwhile, Scribe faced Imamura and Kamihito Ichi, countering their attacks as the two demons prepared a coordinated assault.

  • Gyutaro reassured Koinatsu, then agreed to accompany her while she went to find Karin and Sui.
  • Mitsu rose from the dust and declared that he had realized Gyutaro was a demon.
  • Scribe chose Imamura as his first opponent, and Imamura attacked with poison-coated bone shuriken.
  • Scribe used his Crimson Blade to cut apart Imamura's shuriken and neutralize their poison.
  • Kamihito Ichi surrounded Scribe with illusions and fired beams of light from his fan as Imamura disappeared into a pit beneath the ground.

Ch. 303A Hasty End to the Battle

Scribe countered Imamura’s surprise attack with Sun Breathing, badly injuring him, then shattered Kamihito Ichi’s follow-up attacks. Kamihito Ichi detonated his fan to cover his escape, and Scribe watched the mist uneasily.

  • Imamura burst from underground with a drill attack while Kamihito Ichi trapped Scribe with pupil beams.
  • Scribe used Sun Breathing, Twelfth Form, Flame Dance to sever Imamura’s arms and carve a deep wound across his body.
  • Scribe kicked Imamura through a wall and several buildings, but did not pursue him.
  • Kamihito Ichi launched Wave Overlap Constriction at Scribe, who answered with Flame Dance’s Second Strike and broke the beams.
  • Kamihito Ichi detonated his fan to create cover for his escape, while Scribe sensed that something was wrong.

Ch. 304Die Now or Die Later / Leaving the Tokito Estate

Scribe left Dichai’s burning estate to find Tanjiro and the others, then discovered a massacre at Toki-ya and confronted a demon attacking the survivors. He crippled the Dog-headed Demon and demanded to know whether it served Dichai.

  • Scribe chose not to pursue Kamihito Ichi and searched for Tanjiro and the others instead.
  • Scribe reached Toki-ya and found its rooms filled with the bodies of people killed in a brutal attack.
  • Scribe found Toki-ya’s owner, his wife, and several geisha trapped with the Dog-headed Demon.
  • The Dog-headed Demon lunged at Scribe, but Scribe evaded it and severed its right arm.
  • Scribe crushed the demon’s eye beneath his foot and demanded to know whether it was Dichai’s subordinate.

Ch. 305Demon Gathering Place

Scribe defeated the Dog-headed Demon, learned that Dichai had ordered him to kill Koinatsu, and agreed to lead Toki-ya’s survivors toward safety. He then made the demon take him to the place where demons reported in.

  • Scribe crushed the Dog-headed Demon's head, but the demon regenerated and began flattering him.
  • The survivors of Toki-ya grieved for Yae, Mr. Ichio, and Kohana, who had been killed by demons.
  • The proprietress told Scribe that Koinatsu had left with Karin and Sui, and asked him to take the survivors somewhere safe.
  • Scribe agreed to let the survivors follow twenty meters behind him as he left Toki-ya with the Dog-headed Demon.
  • The Dog-headed Demon revealed that Dichai had sent him to kill Koinatsu, then told Scribe that demons had to report to another demon before acting freely.
  • Scribe ordered the Dog-headed Demon to lead him to the demons' gathering place.

Ch. 306Using Shishu as a Bargaining Chip?

Scribe followed the Dog-headed Demon to a meeting place where a group of demons gathered, suspecting the meeting could help him learn more about Dichai. The demons began negotiating over Scribe as merchandise, unaware of how dangerous he was.

  • After the system reported mission progress of 1/109, Scribe suspected the Dog-headed Demon might lead him to useful information about Dichai.
  • The Dog-headed Demon secretly planned to lure Scribe into an ambush, but Scribe struck him and warned him not to make another sound.
  • The Dog-headed Demon led Scribe and his group to a plaza where several demons were gathered, including a Samurai Demon and a Fat Demon.
  • The Samurai Demon sensed Scribe's overwhelming power and feared he had come to kill them all.
  • The Fat Demon offered to trade seventeen captured humans for Scribe and asked the Dog-headed Demon to accept the bargain.

Ch. 307The Demon Scared Out of Its Wits / Information on Koyuki and Nezuko

Scribe killed Fat Demon with Sun Breathing, then faced the other demons as Samurai Demon panicked and fled before fighting. The chapter left Scribe confronting the remaining demons, who had seen his strength.

  • Scribe questioned Fat Demon about the survivors and revealed that he knew the demons had been sent on a mission.
  • Fat Demon used Blood Demon Art: Mud Snail Flesh to evade Scribe’s Dance, but Scribe’s Azure Sky ignited and destroyed his transformed body.
  • The survivors of Toki-ya watched the distant fire and worried about Scribe, while Ape Demon and Samurai Demon witnessed the attack.
  • Ape Demon realized Fat Demon had died and urged the other demons to attack Scribe together.
  • Samurai Demon shouted at Scribe and fled into the darkness, warning the others not to come near him.

Ch. 308The Capture List and Tengen’s Rescue of His Wife

Scribe defeated the demons holding a group of geisha and learned that Warabihime had attacked Kyogoku House, where Nezuko and Koume were last seen fighting her. He began piecing together the whereabouts of Zenitsu and Tengen Uzui’s missing wives, then called the Dog-headed Demon over for information.

  • The Samurai Demon fled, and Scribe silently killed the other demons, leaving the Ape Demon alive to plead for his life.
  • The Ape Demon and Dog-headed Demon argued over who would be more useful to Scribe, while Scribe freed the captured geisha.
  • A geisha from Hagimoto House told Scribe that Warabihime had revealed herself as a demon and slaughtered people at Kyogoku House.
  • The geisha said Nezuko and the others had been suppressed by Warabihime when she last saw them, but she did not know what happened afterward.
  • Scribe assessed the group’s likely whereabouts and wondered what had happened to Zenitsu and Tengen Uzui’s three missing wives.
  • Scribe called the Dog-headed Demon over, hoping he could provide a clue.

Ch. 309A New Decision

Scribe learned that Dichai had ordered demons to capture people on a list, while Tengen Uzui rescued Hinatsuru from a demon’s trap. After hearing what happened, Tengen went to Kyogoku House to find Warabihime and protect those still there.

  • Scribe questioned the Dog-headed Demon and learned that Dichai had a list of people to capture, including Hinatsuru and Agatsuma Zenitsu.
  • Tengen Uzui found Hinatsuru bound in a pool of crimson liquid at Kirimise and rescued her when the liquid fled.
  • Hinatsuru told Tengen that Warabihime had noticed her investigation and that the crimson liquid had captured her after she drank poison and pretended to take Warabihime’s medicine.
  • Tengen gave Hinatsuru a pill, told her to leave once the antidote took effect, and went to Kyogoku House to find Warabihime.
  • Tengen arrived at Kyogoku House and was shocked by the tragic scene before him.

Ch. 310The Power of Sound Breathing

Tengen Uzui investigated the devastated Kyogoku House and chose to hunt the demons himself, while Scribe gathered survivors and searched the burning Yoshiwara Flower District. The two met after hearing a battle beneath the ground and prepared to investigate the vast hollow below.

  • Tengen Uzui found the wreckage of Warabihime's room and concluded that Nezuko may have fought two demons, one of whom later protected her.
  • Tengen Uzui found no sign that Koume or Nezuko had died and decided to search for the demons rather than meet Tanjiro and Inosuke or rescue his other wives.
  • Scribe brought two groups of survivors together, killed the Dog-headed Demon when it tried to attack him, and led the survivors through the district.
  • Scribe rescued people and killed demons as he crossed Yoshiwara, but noticed that several demons he had encountered earlier were missing and that the demons were less numerous than expected.
  • Scribe met Tengen Uzui, exchanged information about the demons, and learned that a large hollow beneath them held the sounds of battle, though its entrance was too narrow to enter.

Ch. 311Suma and Makio Under Control / All Sides Gathered

Scribe and Tengen Uzui uncovered a demon lair beneath the streets, while Inosuke found Tonryoku and other demons gathering around a blood pool and cocoons. Tonryoku sent Tengen Uzui’s missing wives, Suma and Makio, to attack Inosuke.

  • Tengen Uzui used Sound Breathing: First Form to blast open a hole in the ground, and Scribe sensed a foul stench rising from below.
  • Scribe and Tengen Uzui faced a group of demons pursuing people they had rescued, then rushed to deal with them.
  • Inosuke smashed through the floor at Hagimoto House, squeezed through a narrow passage, and emerged in a cavern filled with a blood pool and red cocoons.
  • Inosuke found Tonryoku, Mitsu, Rokuya, and other demons gathered around the cocoons, which were drawing from the blood pool.
  • Tonryoku revealed Suma and Makio, who had emerged from cocoons with patterned bodies and lifeless eyes, and ordered them to attack Inosuke.

Ch. 312Scribe Appears

Inosuke fought Makio and Suma while Tonryoku’s group argued over Mitsu’s failed search for Koinatsu. As reinforcements broke into the demons’ hideout and a familiar human presence approached from above, the demons realized their position was in danger.

  • Makio and Suma attacked Inosuke, and Tonryoku used blood threads to make them resume fighting after they paused at Tengen Uzui’s name.
  • Rokuya taunted Mitsu for failing to capture Koinatsu, but Tonryoku ended their dispute and ordered them to focus on securing the hideout.
  • Inosuke broke open Zenitsu’s red cocoon, but Zenitsu remained asleep in his arms.
  • Tonryoku realized that several sounds came from attackers breaking through the stone, and Anze pointed out the wall where the digging was loudest.
  • A burly figure, a woman emerging from a ribbon, and another attacker blasted open the hideout from different directions.
  • Tonryoku sensed a familiar human approaching from above, and the demons wondered how Lord Dichai, Lord Imamura, and Lord Kamihito Ichi could have failed.

Ch. 313The Ultimate Plan After Cornering a Demon

Tonryoku and the demons faced Shiragiku and Gyutaro, then Tanjiro and Nezuko arrived to join Inosuke and Zenitsu. Scribe and Tengen Uzui followed, and Uzui rushed toward his demon-controlled wives, Suma and Makio.

  • Tonryoku slapped Rokuya and ordered the demons to stop panicking as Shiragiku and Gyutaro confronted them.
  • Tonryoku realized Shiragiku and Gyutaro were demons with Upper Rank strength, while Mitsu recognized Gyutaro’s sickles and recoiled.
  • Tanjiro and Nezuko descended to join Inosuke and Zenitsu, and Tanjiro saw that Suma and Makio were in trouble.
  • Gyutaro glared at Nezuko, but Shiragiku stopped him and said they should wait for Scribe.
  • Scribe and Tengen Uzui arrived, and Scribe’s sword aura struck the wall as the demons scattered.
  • Scribe pointed out Suma and Makio to Tengen, who recognized his wives and charged toward them.

Ch. 314Mass-Produced Lower Moons

Scribe freed Suma and Makio from Dichai's technique and uncovered the blood pool's purpose. Tonryoku activated a final plan by feeding a concentrated mass of human blood to the pool, strengthening the demons inside the cocoons as battle approached.

  • Scribe knocked out Suma and Makio with a controlled strike, and Sun Breathing purged the patterns from their bodies so they could recover.
  • Scribe deduced that the blood pool could turn captured humans into beings between humans and demons, and Rokuya inadvertently confirmed his guess.
  • Tonryoku ordered the final plan and tore out his heart to reveal a blood clot made from the blood of hundreds or thousands of people.
  • Tonryoku threw the blood clot into the pool and leapt in, causing the cocoons to absorb blood and their occupants' auras to grow stronger.
  • Scribe realized the cocoons contained demons and warned the others to prepare for battle.

Ch. 315I’m Just Telling the Truth—Don’t Get Worked Up

Scribe realized the blood pool was awakening demons and turning them into Dichai’s backups, then stopped the others from reaching it. He had Gyutaro capture Mitsu alive and discovered that she could return to being human, though she still needed treatment.

  • Scribe watched red cocoons hatch into demons, including three with Upper Rank-level strength, and saw a human transform into a demon as mission progress increased.
  • Scribe ordered the others stopped from entering the blood pool, and Gyutaro attacked Mitsu while Rokuya kicked her aside and entered the pool with Anze, Shiragi, and Iryu.
  • Gyutaro shattered Mitsu’s Blood Demon Art and broke her limbs, but followed Scribe’s order not to cut off her head.
  • Scribe suspected Mitsu was still between human and demon, then struck her with his Nichirin Blade, causing her to expel strange blood and begin returning to an ordinary human state.
  • Scribe realized Mitsu might be saved but noted that she needed treatment to keep from bleeding to death.

Ch. 316You Just Said You Wanted to Order Me? / The Serpent Hashira Appears

Nezuko revealed that Koume and Gyutaro were demons, while Scribe and the others faced an army of newly hatched demons. Scribe severed the Stone Demon's hand after it grabbed him, and two Upper Rank demons charged at him together.

  • Nezuko told Tanjiro that the two demons were Koume and her brother, and Koume changed back to her familiar form.
  • Koume pulled Gyutaro away, while Nezuko tended Mitsu's wounds and Scribe urged everyone to deal with the newly hatched demons.
  • The demons targeted the humans, and the Stone Demon claimed Scribe as his meal before trapping him in its enormous hand.
  • Scribe burned through the Stone Demon's grip and severed its right hand, sending the demon crashing into the others.
  • The Cat-eared Octopus Demon and the long-nosed, elephant-faced demon agreed to attack Scribe together, and the Cat-eared Octopus Demon struck at his back.

Ch. 317The Blood Pool Wall Is Broken

Scribe and the Demon Slayers fought the demons in the cave while Gyutaro defended Scribe and Obanai Iguro joined the battle. The Hashira gained the upper hand, but Scribe remained focused on the blood pool, which had gone still after Tonryoku and the others entered it.

  • Gyutaro stopped the Cat-eared Octopus Demon's attack on Scribe and fought alongside Tengen Uzui against the two Upper Rank demons.
  • The Stone Demon ordered the remaining demons to attack Tanjiro and the others, while Nezuko joined the fight and Koume called out guidance to help them.
  • The Stone Demon burrowed underground and tried to ambush Scribe, but Obanai Iguro appeared and struck him with Serpent Breathing: Third Form: Coil Choke.
  • The Stone Demon recovered and attacked Obanai, who exploited gaps in his rocky armor and gained the advantage.
  • Scribe assessed the battles and watched the blood pool grow calm after Tonryoku and the others had jumped into it.

Ch. 318A Sudden Turn of Events

Scribe broke the blood pool wall to stop Tonryoku from absorbing its nutrients, but Tonryoku consumed Anze and two other demons and emerged in a powerful new form. After Scribe tricked Tonryoku into revealing that his strength came from his own ability, the system warned that an unknown cause had changed the world's progression, and Black Feather arrived.

  • Scribe attacked the blood pool until its wall broke and the blood drained out.
  • Tonryoku absorbed Anze and the other two demons, then leaped from the pool in a transformed form.
  • Scribe questioned Tonryoku and tricked him into revealing that his power-up came from his own ability, not the blood pool.
  • The system told Scribe that an unknown cause had changed the world's progression and that he needed to investigate.
  • Black Feather swooped down and landed on Scribe's shoulder.

Ch. 319Self-Destruction / Koi Natsu Returns

Scribe learned that the Emperor’s people were approaching the Entertainment District and tried to end the battle before they arrived. Tonryoku self-destructed, and Scribe sheltered the others in a pit; the blast erupted into a towering pillar of fire as the arriving samurai watched.

  • Black Feather told Scribe that people under the Emperor were heading toward the cave.
  • Scribe warned Tanjiro and the others that the authorities had arrived, and Tengen Uzui and Obanai Iguro attacked the demons with renewed force.
  • Tonryoku fled, then swelled with energy to self-destruct; Scribe chose to protect the others instead of pursuing him.
  • Scribe beheaded the Stone Demon, the Cat-eared Octopus Demon, and the Elephant Trunk Demon, then dug a pit and placed the others inside before covering it with a fragment of rock.
  • Tonryoku’s explosion engulfed the cave, and a pillar of fire rose into the sky as the survivors and arriving samurai watched.

Ch. 320Missing

Mr. Jing investigated the enormous crater while Mister Scribe and his companions escaped the ruins and rescued survivors. Mister Scribe later dug toward Tanjiro’s group and finally reached Tengen Uzui and Obanai.

  • Mr. Jing ordered his warriors to search for survivors and dig beneath the crater, suspecting the explosion had originated underground.
  • Mister Scribe refused Gyutaro’s offer to kill the warriors, then found Koinatsu, Sui, and Karin and agreed to take the girls with them.
  • Koinatsu told Karin she was no longer an Oiran, and Koume declared Sui and Karin her followers.
  • Mister Scribe left the group with Gyutaro’s protection and went to Hagimoto House to dig toward Tanjiro and the others.
  • Mister Scribe exchanged messages with Tanjiro’s group through Tengen’s Muscle Rats and broke through the last barrier to reach Tengen Uzui and Obanai.
