Chapter Summaries

Ron returned to Hogwarts after leaving St. Mungo’s, where his roommates explained the school’s new Champions and growing tensions under Umbridge. After learning that Harry Potter was a Champion, Ron became jealous and decided Harry must be hiding his past as Voldemort’s accomplice.

Moriarty exposed Gamp’s Dark Heart and burned him with elemental fire, leaving Gamp to destroy his own body and flee as a heart inside black liquid while Moriarty called for Ithiel.

• Gamp arrived in Diagon Alley and vowed to kill Moriarty, then unleashed Dark Elemental Magic that erased Moriarty’s Water and Fire attacks.
• Gamp used Washing of Power to immobilize Moriarty, Lilith, Jericho, Dumbledore, and Grindelwald, then hurled the others aside.

• The Goblin King rallied his army to attack Hogwarts, but Lilith summoned snakes that tore through the charging Goblins.
• Lilith attacked the Goblin King with the Sword of Gryffindor, and Jericho blasted him from the side before Moriarty joined the fight.

Yakei Go’s forces attacked London with magical and conventional weapons as the British government collapsed into panic. Leon rescued the Prime Minister while Gamp, taking over Yakei Go’s body, ordered his armies to continue the assault.

• Japanese forces bombarded London, destroyed Big Ben, and caused British communications and detection systems to fail as zombies and Monsters appeared across the city.
• Leon shielded the Prime Minister from a shell, gave him protective gear, and told him to flee to Platform Nine and Three-Quarters and denounce the Immortality Organization.
• Leon said Fudge had betrayed the Ministry of Magic and that Gilderoy was leading elite Aurors into battle against Yakei Go.
• Extis questioned whether attacking London would violate the Statute of Secrecy, but Gamp, possessing Yakei Go, dismissed the rule and said he would destroy the world to reclaim the Elemental Artifact and become the God of Magic.

• Moriarty used a Powerful Confundus Charm to make the monsters’ weapons malfunction, allowing wizards to attack them with spells.
• A Hogwarts crest firework signaled Lockhart’s arrival, and he introduced himself as the International Confederation of Wizards’ Vice President and brought elite Aurors from more than a hundred countries.
• Lockhart assigned Aurors from different regions to protect allies, curse enemies, support magical creatures, defend four London strongholds, and assault the warships.

As they recovered and confronted the still-unfinished explosion, Ithiel suggested detonating it inside the Alchemy Space, prompting Moriarty to consider what might happen if the space shattered.

• Larpo and Gamp watched the nuclear bomb explode, with Larpo confident that he and Gamp could be resurrected if they died.
• Ithiel flew toward the warhead and tried to contain the nuclear blast with Thunder Elemental Magic, but the radiation overwhelmed her.
