Pressure from the Spirit Pagoda

"So you mean—we should first see what they do, then decide how we should respond?"

"Fight them with their own methods." Wu Yang Jin smiled faintly, his tone calm.

In the end, the two reached an agreement: they would not take the initiative to use illusions or similar methods to attract students unless they discovered that the Spirit Pagoda itself was employing such tactics.

Sure enough, before long, both sides noticed the Spirit Pagoda's little schemes—secretly sending people to win over talented yet hesitant students. Some even attempted to use resources and promises to "turn" students who had originally intended to join Shrek Academy and God Seal Academy.

Naturally, Wu Yang Jin and Tang Wu Lin would not stand idly by. Though they did not actively sabotage the other side's recruitment efforts, they occasionally employed small tricks that rendered some of the Spirit Pagoda's methods ineffective. They even managed to draw several wavering students over to their side.

And so, after several days of competition, the recruitment process came to a successful end, and the student rosters of the two academies officially took shape!

To celebrate the success of this recruitment drive, a grand banquet was held at the academies that evening.

Although it was not particularly large in scale, everyone was immersed in the joy of success.

In the end, Shrek Academy successfully recruited two hundred new students, while God Seal Academy had unexpectedly enrolled one hundred more than Shrek Academy, for a total of three hundred!

This result surprised quite a few people, but on further thought, it was not strange at all.

Although God Seal Academy was newly established, the God Seal Sect behind it was a powerful organization with a long heritage. Its influence was in no way inferior to Shrek Academy or the Tang Sect.
