Issei Ryudo was a second-year Class C student at Homurahara Academy High School and served as the student council president of Homurahara Academy. He was classmates with Shirou Emiya, Shinji Matou, and Goto Takei, while his homeroom teacher was Taiga Fujimura, an English teacher in Homurahara Academy's high school division.
He had known Shirou since their first year and quickly became close friends with him.
At the student council, he was completely different from his normally tolerant self, transforming into a demon of a student council president. Within the council, he was a demon-like existence.
He was highly popular among the girls at school. Even though school rules prohibited running in the hallways, no matter how urgent things got, he would never run there.
He worked diligently both in the mornings and after school. Because of the lack of successors, Issei Ryudo had to continue serving as student council president even after advancing to his third year. He had once complained to Shirou Emiya that if Shirou had been his junior, he would have wanted to entrust the student council presidency to him.
