"Mikasa, wait for me!"
Suddenly, Reiner called out to Eren Yeager, who was bringing up the rear.
"Eren, wait. I have something to tell you."
"What is it?"
"Five years ago, we destroyed the wall and began attacking humanity. I'm the Armored Titan, and he's the Colossal Titan." Reiner pointed at Hoover beside him. Though everyone pretended to keep walking forward, they were all watching Reiner and Hoover's every move.
Hoover grabbed Reiner.
"What are you talking about? Do you know what you're saying, Reiner?"
Despite Hoover's desperate attempts to stop him, Reiner continued muttering as if possessed.
"Our goal is to destroy all humanity." Reiner shook off Hoover's hand and continued, "But we don't need to do that anymore... Eren, as long as you're willing to leave here with us... we won't have to destroy the walls again."
Eren's eyes were filled with confusion.
More than that, there was terror and unease.
Things seemed to have far exceeded what his heart could bear. What was he supposed to do? His mind raced, but he could not come up with a single effective solution.
Eren looked into the distance and discovered that Lin Yan and Mikasa had already gone far ahead.
Armin was the only one close to them.
Although Armin possessed calm judgment and a brilliant mind, his combat ability was the weakest. He absolutely could not drag him into this at a critical moment, or it would be extremely dangerous.
"Eren, you understand, right?"
"No, wait. I don't understand at all." Eren shouted angrily.
"I'm asking whether you're willing to come with us." Reiner said it again. His tone was firm, yet it carried a strange air, as though his mind had been controlled—or as though he had become a completely different person from usual.
