Only one week remained until the end of summer vacation. Although the subject's attitude had remained hesitant since the Fireworks Festival, there was finally a major development today, the final day of make-up exams and supplementary classes.
Family restaurant.
"And just like that, I'm officially dating Ōgami." Kariu Rena told Tamari Honoka and Hishiro Chizuru, her cheeks flushed red.
"Congratulations!" Tamari Honoka was genuinely happy for her. From her miraculous meeting with Kariu Rena, to their misunderstanding not long ago, and then clearing up both the misunderstanding and the knot in their hearts, it had not been an easy journey. Losing a friendship and finding it again would only make that friendship stronger.
"Congratulations." Hishiro Chizuru said as well. "Though I was never worried about the outcome of the confession."
"Why?!" Kariu Rena was utterly surprised. Why would Hishiro Chizuru say something like that? She hurriedly asked, "I was super anxious!"
Hishiro Chizuru slowly took a sip of iced coffee to wet her throat before speaking.
"Because Kazuomi had already planned to confess to Kariu that day too."
"What?! Wait, what does that mean?" Kariu Rena was shocked. They all knew? Why had no one told her?
"Oh? So it wasn't Rena who made the first move—Ōgami confessed before she could?" Tamari Honoka interrupted.
"Yeah."
"What? That's so unexpected!" Tamari Honoka was surprised too. Was that really Ōgami Kazuomi's style?
