Yellow Class Nine was the final placement for students not admitted to Heaven, Earth, or Profound classes. It was regarded throughout Cloud Creek Academy’s Outer Court as the worst class, inhabited by students with mediocre aptitude or low assessment rankings. Its classroom was a remote, dilapidated courtyard, and Elder Sun offered its students only a Human-Tier Low-Grade Body Tempering Art before dismissing them to cultivate alone. 14

Lin Xiao entered Yellow Class Nine without objection despite public ridicule. Shi Lei and Su Yue joined him there, and the class initially consisted largely of discouraged students who had accepted their low status. 14 21
