Otto, who was meeting Sirin's golden gaze, smiled faintly and made no attempt to shake her hand—
He knew perfectly well what she thought of him.

Just as Otto had expected, Sirin turned her head away outright, only glancing sidelong at him from the corner of her eye, her disdain plain for all to see.
"It seems you've done quite a bit of work beforehand, my friend."
Otto was not annoyed. Instead, he turned his gaze toward Gwen across from him.
"It really was a hassle. Remember to send me a bonus."
Gwen did not stand on ceremony. He nodded directly, then began explaining the terms of the temporary truce he had reached with Sirin.
After hearing it all, Otto reacted just as Gwen had expected. Not only was he not angered in the slightest, he nodded in satisfaction.
"You did very well, my friend.
To successfully persuade our Queen of Void, your negotiating skills are far superior to those of Anti-Entropy's leader."
"Compared to that, there's something else I'd like to discuss with you, Bishop."
Gwen casually twisted his wrist after setting down his wineglass.
Gwen neither confirmed nor denied it, instead changing the subject.
"Come to think of it... Bishop Otto, have your memories always been synchronized?"
"Yes, of course. I value my life quite a bit."
Otto nodded, unsurprised that Gwen had noticed something unusual about his Soul Steel body.
"Then..."
