Hearing this, Mobius sized Hila up for a moment. Though a trace of surprise appeared on her face, still marked by inerasable sorrow, there was no sign of worry. Mobius relaxed slightly as well.
"There shouldn't be any problems."
Gently stroking the mark on the back of her hand, Eden spoke as well:
"I can feel Gwen's power growing stronger..."

Mobius raised a brow, glanced at Eden's hand, then at the back of her own hand, where she felt nothing at all. The corner of her mouth twitched as she turned and took the lift back down to the hall below...
"You really are..."
Gwen looked helplessly at Phylannor, who stood before him neatly dressed with a faint smile on her face, not knowing what to say for a moment.
"This was necessary guidance."
Faced with Gwen's mild resentment, Phylannor merely smiled.
"With this, combined with the contract you and I made earlier, you'll be able to gain control of the Lord Soul as quickly as possible."

Gwen had wanted to say something more, but when he met those clear, lustrous eyes carrying a faint smile, he took a deep breath and abandoned the thought.

Phylannor seemed far more easygoing than Gwen. With a wave of her hand, the enormous golden cocoon enveloping the bedchamber above slowly dispersed, and familiar music reached Gwen's ears.
Noticing the movement above, Eden stopped her slender fingers dancing across the strings and looked up, meeting those black eyes directly.
"Hmm? Finished?"
She pushed the Rodland Lyre farther onto the table, rose with a smile, and said:
"Looks like the fusion went very smoothly."
