The Heavenly Abyss had an extremely long history, and environments such as its geomantic and magnetic fields were exceptionally strange.
Over a thousand years had passed. Even those ancient beings who had been corroded by the fallen will of Heaven and Earth and turned into Soul-Lost Ones could not escape death by old age. Yet many of the powerful figures exiled here in recent centuries were still alive.
However, although these people were alive, very few still remained lucid enough to know who they were like normal people.
The Heavenly Abyss Black Mist not only eroded a person's strength, but also their mind. This environment, filled with resentment and depravity, further warped and changed the human heart.
Thus, the Heavenly Abyss never lacked beings who had lost their original aspirations and become known as Soul-Lost Ones. All they had left were evil thoughts and venomous hatred toward the world. They had long forgotten their former splendor and identities in the outside world. Within the Heavenly Abyss, where even time had become meaningless, everything from the past had become meaningless as well.
Apart from the Soul-Lost Ones, the Heavenly Abyss also contained the Transgressors who had existed since ancient times, as well as a group of beings called the Twisted Ones, whom the Soul-Lost Ones willingly followed.
Such beings were instead even rarer and harder to encounter.
But the one thing they had in common was that their current names seemed to signify a farewell to their former pasts.
The Twisted Ones were no exception.
