Carried by Zhou Yuanbao, Zhou Hao and the others returned to the secret chamber above. After glancing at the long, sloping staircase at the entrance, they immediately headed toward it.
"Let's get out!"
Although Zhou Yuanbao could have used Teleportation to take them straight out, that would have taken away some of the flavor of adventure. Unless necessary, Zhou Hao still wanted to feel somewhat involved. Otherwise, if Zhou Yuanbao or Mu Jinyin had to help him with everything, he really would become a child.
Zhou Yuanbao and Mu Jinyin were his safeguards, not his babysitters. He still had to go through the experiences he needed to have himself.
"This trip was for nothing," Zhou Hao sighed as he stepped onto the stairs.
Although they had discovered what looked like a pretty impressive inheritance, they had ended up gaining nothing at all. Still, it was fine. Zhou Hao felt somewhat regretful, but he was not particularly obsessed with treasures. Take them if he could; give them up if he could not. It was that simple.
When they were halfway up the stairs, Jewelry nudged about in Zhou Hao's arms, gave two little snorts, and slowly opened its eyes.
Without stopping, Zhou Hao looked down at Jewelry and smiled. "You're awake?"
"Snort, snort~" Jewelry nodded in response.
Zhou Hao smiled faintly and said nothing.
Before long, they reached the end of the stairs. They found a protruding spot in the corner of the wall, pressed it in, and the wall opened.
Zhou Hao led Wang Yue and the others back to where they had been before.
As they emerged, Zhou Hao seemed to sense something and glanced to the left.
Someone was hiding furtively around the corner at the far end.
Seeing this, Wang Yue followed Zhou Hao's gaze and also
