Tongtian Refuses Duobao

Inside Mahavira Hall, Duobao Tathagata sat upright upon the Lotus Throne, Buddha Light shrouding him, ten thousand laws unable to touch him.

He was meditating with his eyes closed, yet his mind suddenly stirred, and a strand of Divine Sense passed through layer upon layer of void, ringing clearly in his mind.

"Duobao..."

That form of address made a faint ripple rise in his state of mind, which had been like an ancient well without waves for ten thousand years.

Ever since he had transformed the barbarians and become Buddha, entered Spirit Mountain, and become the Buddhist Lord.

The two Saints, Jieyin and Zhunti, had always addressed him as "Tathagata," or "Buddha Ancestor."

The name Duobao, along with his identity as the eldest disciple of Jie Sect, had long since been sealed away in the deepest reaches of his memories.

Why would Saint Jieyin suddenly address him like this today?

And also, an old acquaintance had come visiting?

Those who could make a Saint personally send word, and call them an "old acquaintance," could be counted on one's fingers in the entire Primordial Wilderness.

A thought he almost did not dare imagine began to breed madly in the depths of Duobao's heart.

He dared not delay another moment.

His figure flickered, and he vanished from the Lotus Throne. In the next instant, he had already appeared beside the Eight Treasures Merit Pool.

By the pool, Buddha Light and green qi intertwined.

The two Saints, Jieyin and Zhunti, stood in attendance at the side, their faces carrying an expression too complicated for words.

And before them, a green-robed figure stood quietly with his back to him.

That figure was only a back view, yet it seemed to be the sole center of heaven and earth.
