True Lord Shenluo hid nothing. He briefly recounted how the seven of them had joined forces, only to be defeated by a mysterious powerhouse, and how strangely the man had gone about collecting Fortune.
After hearing him out, surprise appeared on the Celestial Pivot True Lord's face.
"He suppressed all seven of you together, single-handedly? Are you sure you aren't exaggerating?"
"Not a word of it," True Lord Shenluo said gravely.
The Celestial Pivot True Lord fell silent.
He knew the strength of True Lord Shenluo and the others well. If the seven joined forces, even he would have to avoid their edge.
"I've never heard of anyone like that." The Celestial Pivot True Lord shook his head.
"None of the fellow cultivators I know match your description."
"What about the second matter?" True Lord Shenluo pressed. "Is Fortune of any use in cultivating the Great Luo True Realm?"
At the question, the Celestial Pivot True Lord looked as though he had heard a joke.
"Fellow Daoist Shenluo, are you joking with me?"
"Fortune is the manifestation of worlds being born and dying, and of the fates of all living beings. To those of us who have long since leaped free of the river of Fate, it is no different from dust."
"If it truly had any use to us, the Primordial Universe would have been turned upside down long ago in the struggle for it. How could there be any peace?"
With that expected answer, True Lord Shenluo's last sliver of hope shattered.
"I understand."
"Still, this matter is strange," the Celestial Pivot True Lord said thoughtfully. "I'll keep an eye out for you. If I hear anything about this man, I'll notify you at once."
"Thank you."
True Lord Shenluo's projection of will thanked him, then slowly dispersed.
