Di Jun offered Zhou Ming the River Diagram, Luo Shu, and the Zhou Tian Xing Dou Great Array in exchange for help holding off Jieyin and Zhunti while he destroyed Mount Sumeru. Zhou Ming accepted Nuwa’s involvement and saw Di Jun’s plan as a chance to open the sealed Demon Realm entrance and interfere in the Western Teachings’ rise.

  • Di Jun named Zhunti as the one behind his suspicion and offered Zhou Ming three Demon Race treasures in exchange for help.
  • Di Jun revealed that he intended to self-destruct and destroy Mount Sumeru as revenge against Jieyin and Zhunti.
  • Di Jun refused to involve Nuwa, saying she needed to focus on nurturing Fuxi’s fragile Primordial Spirit for reincarnation.
  • Zhou Ming agreed that Nuwa would help protect Di Jun, then considered how Mount Sumeru’s destruction could breach the sealed Demon Realm entrance.
  • Zhou Ming reasoned that the resulting devastation could give Nuwa a legitimate reason to mend the breach and let him meddle in the Western Teachings’ future rise.

Ch. 232Dreaming of Returning to the West

Di Jun gave Zhou Ming the River Diagram, Luo Shu, and the surviving Star Banners, then entrusted the Monster Summoning Banner to Nuwa before flying toward the West to destroy Mount Sumeru with his self-detonation. Ch. 234Di Jun Self-Destructs

  • Jieyin revealed to Taiqing and the others that the Demon Realm entrance was suppressed beneath Mount Sumeru.
  • The Three Pure Ones urged Zhou Ming to release Jieyin and Zhunti so they could stop Di Jun, but Zhou Ming refused and suppressed their attempt to challenge him.
  • Jieyin and Zhunti gave up trying to persuade Zhou Ming and waited, believing he would bear responsibility if the Demon Realm entrance opened.
  • A tremendous explosion sounded from the west as Di Jun self-detonated, leaving Nuwa grieving his death.
  • Zhou Ming told Jieyin and Zhunti they could leave.

Ch. 235Leave a Gap

After Mount Sumeru was destroyed and the Demon Realm passage opened, Zhou Ming led the Ancestral Wu in forming the Thirteen Capital Heavenly God Evil Array to guard the breach. Nuwa sealed the passage but left a crack at Zhou Ming’s suggestion, forcing Jieyin and Zhunti to keep suppressing the Demonic Qi.

  • Di Jiang delivered Zhou Ming the item he had requested, while Zhou Ming said he had summoned the Ancestral Wu in advance.
  • Zhou Ming asked Nuwa to repair the passage and the Three Pure Ones, Jieyin, and Zhunti to seal the area and purify the Demonic Qi.
  • Zhou Ming and the twelve Ancestral Wu formed the Thirteen Capital Heavenly God Evil Array, and the Pangu True Body blocked the passage as Demon Realm creatures charged toward it.
  • Pangu’s axe erased the first Demon Realm creatures to emerge, frightening the rest into retreating.
  • Nuwa sealed the breach with Five-Colored Divine Stones, but Zhou Ming persuaded her to leave a crack so Jieyin and Zhunti would have to suppress the escaping Demonic Qi.

Ch. 236Turning Up the Heat on the Journey to the West Tribulation

After Nuwa sealed the breach to the Demon Realm, Zhou Ming took the two Five-Colored Divine Stones and sent his Treasure Distribution Rock to Flower-Fruit Mountain to shape the future Journey to the West Tribulation. He departed with the Twelve Ancestral Witches after warning the other Sages not to exploit the weakened Demon Race and Immortal Court, leaving Nuwa grateful for his support.

  • The other Sages grew wary when Laozi failed to calculate Zhou Ming's intentions, while Jieyin and Zhunti suspected he was plotting against the West.
  • Zhou Ming declined Nuwa's invitation to help arrange the Demon Race and Immortal Court, saying the matter was trivial and leaving with the Twelve Ancestral Witches.
  • Before departing, Zhou Ming warned the Three Pure Ones, Jieyin, and Zhunti not to go too far in dealing with the weakened factions, and Nuwa thanked him.

Ch. 237Immortal and Demon Affairs Concluded, the Three Pure Ones Part Ways

  • After the Demon Race and Immortal Court fell, their survivors scattered among the Jie Sect, the North Sea, and the Western Teachings.
  • Primordial Lord Tianzun and Tongtian argued in Taiqing Palace over Tongtian’s Jie Sect disciples and their different approaches to teaching.
  • Taiqing announced he would leave Kunlun Mountain for Shouyang Mountain, and Tongtian decided to leave as well rather than let their conflict worsen.
  • Taiqing gave Primordial Lord and Tongtian copies of the Sky-Opening Imprint, and the brothers exchanged copies of their own imprints.

  • Zhunti questioned whether Hongjun had considered Zhou Ming’s opinion, prompting the Sages to wonder how Zhou Ming would react to Haotian and Yaochi’s appointment.
  • Hongjun named Haotian the Jade Emperor and Yaochi the Queen Mother, then transformed them from attendants into a young man and a noble woman.
  • Hongjun bestowed the Haotian Sword and Haotian Mirror on Haotian, and the Cloud-Gold Hairpin and Peach Tree on Yaochi.
  • Hongjun told the six Sages to support Haotian and Yaochi, and instructed them to visit Zhou Ming to discuss the Heavenly Court and the Human Clan’s rise.
  • After Hongjun departed, Taiqing led the six Sages, Haotian, and Yaochi out of Purple Sky Palace toward Buzhou Mountain.

Ch. 240I Agree to This Matter

The Six Sages brought Haotian and Yaochi to Buzhou Mountain to tell Zhou Ming that Hongjun had appointed them to rule the Heavenly Court. Zhou Ming agreed, but said he would personally visit the court to discuss the Wu Clan’s share, then asked Taiqing to explain the second matter.
