Meanwhile, Golden Spirit Saint Mother came to Xiqi to help Zhao Gongming, confronted the Chan Sect disciples over the curse harming him, and challenged them to fight her together.

• Lu Ya delivered his master's warning about Kunpeng to Di Jun, who stopped Tai Yi from acting and tasked Lu Ya with dealing with the matter.
• Jiang Ziya worried about the curse killing Zhao Gongming, but Kunpeng and Guang Chengzi persuaded him to maintain the twenty-one-day ritual.
• Shen Gongbao returned with Golden Spirit Saint Mother, who found Zhao Gongming unconscious and learned that he had been cursed.
